The older guy out of NC HOOVER is lighting kids up on the kick-off team. Scrimmage tomorrow night at 7 P.M. So far we are staying pretty healthy.

thank you so much for all of the promotion you have done for the PURPLE RAIDERS. I,  like you have been watching the Mt. pigskin team for a long time. It has provided memories for me, that I can only cherish and thank GOD he has blessed me with this wonderful gift. The times you and your UNCLE LARRY shared will always be ones to never be forgotten. You were lucky you had an UNCLE that made, I believe a LARGE impression on your life. Thank GOD also, that high school coach has been around to keep you out of all those "potential fights" that you may have had. Thanks  a lot  to all of aprof's little internet friends for you words of encouragement. I really appreciate the camaraderie that comes along with this board Quick excerpt of today's game. The "D" stepped in up in a BIG way today. I was yelling at the blimp to get the HELL out of here. It was bad karma. We don't get recognized by the national media for two more weeks. After all it is just a 1/2 step above high school ball.
Our get together tonight at Legends in NC brought out a lot of former team mates. It was great to see Caniford, Grandjean (in spirit), Houseman, Packa, Firpo, and our team manager Oral Roberts.We have a very special bond that goes way beyond the football field. We weren't the most talented bunch of misfits but there was no one close to being 11 as 1 as we were, and still are. From our beginning day of practice our senior year all warm-up were done with the chant " LET'S GO 10 & 0.  And we NEVER doubted it. I am truly a blessed individual to have what I have. Billy Moore's son Jessy was there tonight he heard about our gathering at the memorial service this morning. I walked up to the bar, the last time I saw this 23 year old former soldier he was in diapers. He looks exactly like his super father. Billy is already starting to haunt us. I took my NCAA tailgate football and had everyone present sign it. It was truly a very special day all the way around. THANKS ALL

I apologize to all of the poster on the board. I generally do not spout of like this. I am going through some BAD STUFF> I played for the HOOVER VIKINGS and graduated in 1976. WE lost one football game from our 8th grade year on. Freshmen year we lost to GLENOAK 8-0. Prior to that game we were UNDEFEATED & UNSCORED UPON. Our halfback and DB passed away on Thanksgivng from a massive heart attack. His 440 record for the county stood for about 15 years before it was broken. Tomorrow night myself and about 25 team mates will toast the passing of BILLY MOORE who was an exceptional athlete and PERSON> Sorry to carry on about  this  but it hit way to close to home. GOD REST HIS SOLE> I AM A LUCKY MAN TO HAVE GROWN UP WITH BILLY>

I observed the opponent first hand today while picking up our tickets. I exuded the class that is THE MOUNT UNION UNIVERSITY, I was driving  by the buses and gave a shout out to # 4. I said I am praying for no injuries and GOOD LUCK!!!! I left my calling card with LK and hope to inspire an indirect position next year. How about a 53 year old gunner on the KICKOFF TEAM, YES STRANGER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED> GOD, I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR<<<<<< THANK YOU GOD FOR SMILING UPON ME!!!!!!!!I I write this post UNDER THE INFLUENCE BUT MADE IT THROUGH THE GAUNTLET THAT IS N. Great job with the blog. Very informative analysis . I wish UWW has a hard fought, clean, injury free game this Saturday. Hopefully both of our teams can focus, and take care of business for the next couple of weeks. Good Luck and I pray we can meet in Salem again.
