The whole thing is wrong.  Would like to know what the UMHB donor paid.

He's certainly built great success at Shakopee.  I hope he can return SJU wrestling to relevance!
Agreed.  I hope he will be provided the resources required to be successful.  Don't think that's been the case in some time.

As sort of a counterpoint to BDB, Johnnie Football Spring Standup

It is a fundraiser, but $250 is kind of steep.

Looks like the Johnnies lost out on the Jett Feeney sweepstakes.  https://www.twincities.com/2026/03/09/gophers-add-moorhead-quarterback-jett-feeney-to-2027-recruiting-class/

Maybe he'll ride the bench for a couple of years and then follow his brother to Collegeville.

My eldest daughter works at Johns Hopkins.  Never met Johnny.

Quote from: bleedpurple on February 24, 2026, 07:31:35 PMNext year will be much easier for the WIAC schools to fill their non-conference schedule as they will only need to schedule two games. Conference play will begin week three, there will be a conference bye week 6 and then week 10 will be pit 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, and 4 vs 5. The regular season champion will be declared after week 9.
So, teams will play each other twice?  Never a fan of that.

Quote from: DuffMan on February 02, 2026, 03:18:22 PMNo clue.  Herberg is new to the staff, so I don't know what to expect.  This may be the first time in a very long time that both the OC and DC are not SJU alums.  :o
Possibly never?

Quote from: emma17 on December 31, 2025, 11:56:41 AMI see UWW fitting the boringly better description more consistently in their 10 Stagg appearances. In their 6 wins, I'd point to Beaver, Coppage, Kumerow and Behrendt as offensive playmakers that went beyond the boringly better performance of their teammates. Meinerz was in a class of his own.

Derek Stanley was a stud receiver.

Some studs on UWW's defense.  The ones I remember are A.J. Raebel and Ryan Kleppe. They really stood out to me in 2005.  No Stagg Bowl win but made the game.

Thanks for the shout out, ROR ;)  8-)
You're welcome.  Check you pms

Congratulations to River Falls and extra special congratulations to Fred Falcon. Great story. Seems like a good group of guys starting with Matt Walker.

I think Kaleb Blaha may be the most impactful d3 player I've seen. That goes back 50 years.

Great shout out to Fred Falcon from Johnnie's Bar. Always knew Fred was a Johnnie's fan. 😉

Quote from: cubs on December 24, 2025, 02:50:25 PMCircling back to this now that there's some down time until the next game...

Three different WIAC teams (UWO, Whitewater, and now River Falls) have played in the D3 Semifinals since 2017... Does any other D3 Conference have even TWO semifinalists over that same stretch of time?

You can take it a step further as those same three teams have all also played in a Stagg Bowl since 2016.

What a weak conference the WIAC is...  ::)

Bethel (2025) and St. John's (2019) of the MIAC have both played in the D3 Semifinals since 2017.

No Stagg Bowls, unfortunately.

Johns Hopkins (2018, 2024) and Muhlenberg (2019) of the Centennial Conference have both played in the D-III semifinals since 2017.

Also 2025 for Hopkins.
