Wow, I haven't had that much fun listening to a game on the internet! Nice job Dutch. Valiant effort by the Dutch.

Announcers just said one FG was blocked by the spartans already. also, freshamn kicker.
Delay of game isn't a good penalty for the Dutch at this time!

Sounds like they are trying to set it up in the Center of the field?

You can't ask for two bigger sack at a better time. Back to back to really push the Spartans back.
4th and 31.

How far was that first fg that he hit in OT? Was the second that much more difficult?

Sounded like the Norse D had a better game this week according to the post game reports. Could possibly be some key injuries?
Anyone at the game give some insight? What happened to that Cornell O?

3 days and 8 pages of literature later I'm finally caught up.
This teaching stuff takes up too much time. Just a couple topics to touch on.
Pettlon from Luther was a beast. He was a FB when I was LB and a LB when I was a FB so I saw plenty of him and more often than not he got the best of me. He was probably one of the best athletes on the team and one of the best guys off it in that senior class. You'd think transfering from a D1 school he would have a bit of an attitude but he didn't
As far as Hefty on the hot seat I don't see it. First off because he is extremely popular at Luther. Secondly, if the admins fired him after letting that BB coach go for so long there would be heck to pay.
I know this post is touching on old topics but I wanted to get my two cents in.
Floyd, when you posted about Davis and Jefferson, Mike had 989 yards.
I talked to Hefty that night and asked him if he knew MJ was only 11 yards away. He did not.

These go back before my time at Wartburg, but back in the late 90's a Wartburg student rented a small plane and dropped Wartburg leaflets over the Luther campus. Then in the fall of 98, students from Wartburg's radio station "crashed" the Luther Homecoming parade under the guise of the Lanesboro, MN Nature Enthusiasts Club and "cut the cake" in front of the judging stand. Good stuff.
More of my memories to come...
My friends have told me of the air drop incident. Unfortunately for the pilot very few peices of paper hit the campus. Creative none the less.

Good Ol' Natty ICE.
Natty ICE, The Beast, Schlitz, etc...they all work well
I know this was posted a long time ago but come on, you can't include "The Beast" in crappy beer!!!! In my humble opinion there is NO SUCH thing as crappy beer. Come on dbljay21, a little respect please.
Norsefan...do we really have to go through this? How many times since you have graduated from Luther have you actually BOUGHT "The Beast" when you wanted beer? "The Beast" was fine for college because it is one of the cheapest kegs available. I know we Tri-O's used it for Morning Keg because it has an appeal to those trying to make money at a party, but we always bought one keg of Miller Lite to tap before everyone started showing up that was just for us.
Crappy beers aside, how the hell you been???
Once again I know this is extemely late but I haven't been able to check this. dblj, the beast and high life are the staple in my diet. Teaching and coaching long hours require a quick and cheap refresher. The above mentioned seem to quench that.
Things have been going well. Nothing to exciting. Glad to hear from you.
