It's sad that the ncaa is so afraid of texas teams actually winning a nat. championship that they have to always give them the hardest road ever. I just think they enjoy sticking it to the Texas teams. Why? B/c they know we can play and we're for real. This is ridiculous and someone should call down the committee for changing how it does things on the day of selection. Cmon now, don't change it if you have used it all year. Oh and yah 500 miles vs. 900? That makes sense right? Well I'm just sad to see this again. B/c I know both umhb and hsu have the makings to be great teams, but are never truly given a chance to show it as they have to always win a state championship before playing the rest of the nation.

I think alot of you fans from up north forget that when UMHB has been the underdog ie ( the run to the national championship) they have risen to the occasion. UMHB knows how to win the big games and they know how to play all 4 quarters. Remember 2 years ago at Mount Union, the cru handed them their first defeat at home in a long time. MU going into the game was something like 122-1 not to mention their home winning streak. So I know the cru can play ball with anyone in the nation.

I cannot wait for the game saturday. I have had this one marked as I am sure everyone else has since the beginning of the season. I will be in attendance saturday wearing my purple and rooting on the cru.

As far as the town of belton-temple-killeen supporting the team.... I know last season umhb worked out a deal with Ft. Hood and they sold them season tickets. I think that was a great start. But I really haven't heard of much more of that going on. Usually they do get a decent amount of air time on the news, but w/o any other college or pro team in the area it really helps. Well I guess except for Baylor....

Weak Safety

No we did not chant underrated at Christopher Newport simply b/c it was an away game and no we didn't chant it at the Wesley game last year in the playoffs. But you know how it is. There's gotta be a lil trash talking b/w umhb and hsu, just don't want it to get out of hand.

Belton's really grown the last few years. If chain restaurants are more your style:
Chilis
Texas Roadhouse
Applebees

If you like local places:
Jaliscos
French Quarter
Schoepf's

Man one could only hope that over 4,000 people show up for tomorrow. I will also be in attendance.

I just recently heard from the umhb faculty athlete representative that the ASC is threatening to take away the barrels at the back of the endzones. Mainly b/c of one complaint for SRSU who won like one game! For real!

In reference to looking ahead:

UMHB should take one game at a time. They should not look ahead to any game but the present. Trinity is not going to just lay down and let the cru run all over them. That's just how we do it here. We don't look ahead except to that week's game. Last year we didn't even work on getting fan buses until we knew we were moving on the the next game.

UMHB-alum-incatland:

It would be great to have you back down here. This week we will be in the process of getting word out to go to the game. Thanksgiving will be a harder game to get people too, but we will see. However, we have to take care of Trinity first and go on from there.

Anyone think that playing christopher newport will help umhb get that home game?

In reference to the facilities at umhb. The field is brand new this season it is the newest stuff. The stands at umhb are big enough on both sides to accomodate all fans. I think it holds like 6,000. So yeah not much reason there to not let umhb have the home game in the 2nd round.

Let's stop beating around the bush. Mcmurray QB was supposedly the best our defense had seen all season long. However he came out and threw for 2 interceptions in the first quarter alone. UMHB's defense totally shut him down. They were also able to play contain all day. With that kind of defense it's no wonder the score was so high at the end of the game. Also, last time when we beat HSU everyone griped about umhb running up the score. Well this time around 63 players played. Like for real we had no one else on the bench. And if the 3rd and 4th string guys are coming out and playing hard and McMurray can't stop them, is that really UMHB's fault. To be honest if I were coach Fred I probably would have scored that last touchdown, but that would be running up the score and a lack of class. We didn't the QB took a knee and let the clock run. Keep in mind the cru were only 7 yards from the endzone.

I retract my statement about Jordan being selfish. All I knew was that he was going to take a medical red shirt. Typically for any broken bone it is 4-6 weeks you are out. I assumed he would be ready to go by playoffs. My bad.
