Yes. Ray Martel is a founding member of D3hoops.com.
damn, i was standing right next to you guys after the game, and i didnt even say hi to you guys

Yeah. He's famous, I know.

I gave Martel his first job in sports radio. When he makes it huge I want a cut. :)

And I believe I announced the very first D3hoops.com webcast with Martel (at Widener).  It may not have even been linked off the home page, but we were online, and at least one person (Pat) was listening.  So, I think I deserve a cut too (for making Ray sound so good by comparison :-\).

The NY Times recently published an article on heckling at college basketball games.  Someone submitted this letter to the editor in response:

"The ugly treatment of players at Division I basketball games has seeped down into Division III. I attend women's games at N.Y.U. For the first few years, the games were fun. The season N.Y.U. won the national championship was exhilarating. But the feeling in the gym has gotten uglier. Instead of just rooting for N.Y.U., some fans have started taunting opponents."

Not only was it #1, but it also was previewed in a teaser a little earlier in the show.  Plus, on showing the clip at #1, the Sportscenter anchor said something like "love the D3hoops."  I am sure it was spelled "D3hoops" in the script too.  Clearly a nod to this site.   ;D

Here's a random, specific question... Does anyone know if there are any former D3 players playing basketball in Kosovo?

(yes, there is a pro basketball league in Kosovo)
