Ralph - I would recommend going to Aledo (15 miles west of FW on IH20) and watching 4A Aledo play 5A Weatherford at Aledo's new stadium. A town of less than 2000 has a brand new stadium this year that holds over 6 or 7 thousand I believe. It starts Friday night at 7:30, Aledo has a few will be seniors who have already committed to DI programs (Texas), not sure about Weatherford. This is on the way to Abilene and would provide a much better game.

The answer to your question is yes.....but like a lot of things, details of the project is best left off of this board. This chat forum is for fan chat, not a news site. Too much stuff that should not be discussed makes its way here anyway.
I know that is a tough deal for Wildcat fans and alums who are out of town....I'm sure it is frustrating. But there have been a few too many liberties taken in the past by people who are too close to the program. While the cost of an facilities project is not as sensitive as say, an injury to a key player....the principle pretty much is the same.
My two bits....your mileage may vary
Bean - I understand your concern regarding the discussion of players' injuries coaching changes etc., but most everything is speculation unless the trainer is a d3football.com poster. Upgrades and the cost to make those upgrades hardly can be compared in any way to an injury to a key player. I do not understand what the big deal is with talking about details about what could potentially make Linfield have the most impressive D3 football venue in the country(hard to get better). Open discussion on this board could lead to suggestions to the powers that be at Linfield to go a certain direction with the upgrades, and maybe some influence. I think it would be a healthy discussion, at the very least to generate some excitement when the request for some $$$ arrives via the Alumni Office. Not trying to attack anyone, but I don't see the harm in it.

Good time for my first post. I would recommend flying to DFW staying in Downtown Fort Worth and driving to Abilene on Saturday morning. If you are going to travel all that way might as well have a little fun. It is about 150 miles from FW to Abilene.
Catback send me an email so we can hook up in Corpus when you guys come down here.
