Get out of the half.... 14-7 and should be more... We have moved the ball to well to only have 14 on the board.

Concordia had a tough time keeping the Ole receivers in front of them. St. Olaf scored on a few long ones and missed on a few more deep balls where the receivers had gotten behind the secondary.
As well as the Oles were playing offensively once CC got up 2 touchdowns I really thought the game was completely in their hands. At no point did I feel St. Olaf being capable of stopping CC's running game when it mattered. They were running the ball pretty much at will anywhere they chose. The old 30 trip (Fullback straight ahead w/ a guard trap) play which is usually good for 2-3 yards on a great day was going for 8-10 regularly.
All in all it was a very entertaining game.

Cobber/Ole game:
What a contrast in styles but yet are they... Each team lines up in a very similar fashion but do things completely opposite. Both teams have 2 split recievers, a single back, a quarterback and 2 players in the slot and use the slot guys in both the running game and pass game. On paper if they were x's and o's they would be very, very similar. Both teams seem to be similar in trying to move down the field methodically while trying to make the occasional big play. I guess my point is that by looking at the stat sheet you would think these two offenses were as opposite as 2 offenses can be but in reality they are much more similar than we would think.

You're killing me. That was a great D line. I never want to rehash the old days but man those guys were tough. I don't know if they are better than the current version but they were awfully good.
I still have nightmares watching Trent Anderson running into the Fargodome endzone with the ball I forgot to hang on to. He was solid. If you ask me Wagner was the best of the bunch.

I didn't realize he was closing in on that record. That would be a tremendous accomplishment.
Dumb Question? What kind of numbers does he put up in the weigh room and were they exceptional on any particular lift. With guys like him who are very deceptive I always wonder what seperates them. My guess would be his clean and vertical numbers would be high.

I got my first glimpse of Porta last Saturday. From all I have read about him I expected something different. He is certainly an excellent running back but I was expecting a more imposing physical presence. He is a very smooth runner with balance as good as you will see. Time and time again Cord hit him and he bounced off for extra yards. He was fun to watch.

Wahoo:
In talking with people who have been around the MIAC for many years few have seen a player dominate from the defensive side like Dumonceaux (sp)? No one should control the game from the NG position like he does. I have not seen St.O play but I would HIGHLY doubt they have anyone in the ballpark of that talent level.
Personally I am ready to see St. Olaf get worked each of the next two weeks based on the statements I keep reading. You guys beat SJU or Cord and I will tip my hat. I don't think either game will be within 2 touchdowns.
