I actually thought it would be hard to put a chip on the shoulder of a program that has won 5 out of the last 6 Conference championships.  (as well as conference tournament championships).

Thank you MWC coaches.

sour grapes.

A grinnell fan can never complain about calls in any gym named darby.

How do you expect to shoot many free throws when you shoot a million 3s every game?

Could Monmouth PLEASE get a win?

Vershaw still owes us for missing those free-throws.

umm, being one of the two best guards in the midwest certainly makes you one of the ten best in the nation.

I truly believe little slights like these are good for LU in the long run.  It is ggod to have a reality check from time to time about what the rest of the D3 world truly thinks of you.

2005-2006  Lawrence is unranked in the pre-season

barely above .500 team = bad loss, I don't care how young or tough they were playing at times.  Back to my question though, why don't bad losses count more in the regional rankings?

FYI- I dont care how storied anyone's past is.  What have you done for me lately?  You must be a notre dame football fan to.

why aren't teams punished for BAD losses in the reginal rankings?

Augie lost to North Park this year.  Look at LU's losses and tell me which one of those was that bad.

Given what MWC teams have done in the tournament in recent years, I would argue that makes the top team in the MWC deserving of a top 25 ranking.

This was brought up earleir this week in the top 25 board

I cannot believe they actually called face-guarding.  I guess you have to expect anything when you go to the circus.

Massey ranks Nova Southeatern as 185th out of 279 in Division II. Nova's .201 rating is the same as Coe's and is just behind University of Chicago.

If we are going to use Massey as a meaningful barometer of teams, Does Lawrence's rank of 10 legitamize it for the top 25 poll?

beating a 500. d2 at their place will never count in regional rankings granted, but why cant that count as a GOOD win for the purposes of the top 25 poll?

Isn't it anout time Lawrence is at least receiving some votes?   Does one season (last) of mediocrity completely erase the national reputation they have built in the last 5 years?

question:  With all the hoopla surrounded by Grinnell every year, has the "system" ever produced a single NCAA tournament win?

much ado about nothing

maybe now we can count on Monmouth to miss amazingly important free throws
