Way to get the monkey off of the east's back. After years of traveling with Wesley to the semifinals (some close, so not so close), It's great to see someone finally breakthrough.

Agreed on Endicott, but they have been building an excellent program for a while. Got to travel there in 2019 and they had Wesley 17-0 at the half before falling 20-17 on buzzer-beating field goal.

Along with the top E8 and Liberty League contenders, I think that programs like Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Susquehanna, Del Val, and maybe CNU may have the ability to step it up to the highest level.

At Rowan the atmosphere is energetic and fun on gameday. Especially homecoming which is setup right outside the stadium.

Rowan has hosted several night games recently and are usually followed with fireworks.

I have noticed a small tailgating scene - especially the on the visiting side.

NEW in 2023, Rowan has a newly formed marching band, The Pride of the Profs. Coach Accorsi is very excited about the new marching band.

I'm going to have to make a road trip soon! This sounds great. I remember the first time we played Rowan at CNU. Rowan came out of the locker room with a player playing the bagpipes. That was pretty cool.

Since I've been all of them, all be it, not in a couple of years, here is my ranking.

1. It's CNU, always well attended, band. Sorry to have missed the new deck.
2. I have to go with Salisbury, well attended, new facilities are top-notch.
3. Rowan, pushing for 2nd, you had me at "beer garden." (even though I didn't get to go in it). Stadium name always make me smile in a juvenile way. Nice that there is a band now.
4. TCNJ- Nicest of the remaining facilities though aging, used to see some decent crowds when they were winning back in the 90s. Would be neat to see them put it together again. It has been too long.
5. Kean, major improvement from the 90's when I battled a hornet nest while standing on top of the old press box.
6. Montclair State, not often well-attended for a historically tough team. Pressbox needs an upgrade. Big school should have better attendance.
7. William Paterson, once broadcast a game here from under a pop-up canopy on the visitor side next to their student radio. You would think a school that produced Dick Vitale and Kevin Burkhardt would treat their student broadcasters better. Never did get to do a game from inside the pressbox, but got a nice sunburn on the roof of it. Not well attended.

He is the head coach at Dover High School.

She visited CNU in July and played in a pick up game. I had to work so my wife took her down.

She had fun. She had a hard time getting a read on the atmosphere with no students there. I told her that people always treated us first class whenever I visited and that, at least for football, it was great. She will likely make a second visit.

I met coach Byrd when we were at AU! It was great to see all the Wesley guys, especially Coach Azz, who was my work study student in the SID office at Wesley back in the 90s when he played football, baseball and lacrosse. He brings an enormous amount of positive energy and is a tireless worker.

True, but they mentioned someone  who had already left. No big deal, mistakes happen. I was an SID myself long ago. My purpose was to let those interested that Riddick had moved on, not slam the NJAC PR crew. They do a great job!

Another close game in the annual Widener vs Rowan kickoff classic.

Widener's QB (Towson grad) is very talented, and ran the ball well. He made some really good reads and juked the Rowan DL on many plays.

The QB in question is Triston Harris from Dover High (where I teach). Has a great head on his shoulders, intelligent and athletic. I believe he started a few games for Towson. He could propel the Widener back up the MAC standings as a clear number two behind Del Val.

As for Stevenson, I think we all expected a better showing. But I also think the Centennial might be the strongest conference in Region 2, headed by Hopkins, Muhlenberg and Susquehanna.

Montclair is going to have to find some offense to to hang with Delaware Valley. They have always had a hard-hitting defense, but you can't expect them to score three touchdowns every week. I wonder when the last time a team that scored three defensive touchdowns lost. It's got to be a rare occurrence. It's not like they don't have some athletes on that side of the ball too. They are going to struggle to score points against a loaded Aggie defense.

Great win for CNU. Don't know what to think of Averett, who has rebuilt the program of the past couples seasons but lost 31-24  to Ferrum last week who had been down for a couple of years. Nice job by the Captain defense holding W&L, an option team, to 4.1 per rush. My worry with them is the ability to get some rushing yards from somebody other than their quarterback. That has been a problem for them the past few years.

Salisbury hosting UWW. I think the Gulls will be able to score some points, especially with Lanham's ability to hit the passes needed to open things up. I also like his size and toughness. When you defend Salisbury, the quarterback has to be pounded all game so that by the fourth quarter, the quarterback is like a boxer staggering into the late rounds.

I worry about the Gulls ability to stop the run. Wesley had success on the ground in the Spring and I thought Albright moved the well on the ground (173 yards) in the few series I watched last Saturday. They are playing the premier "punch you in the face/Pound the Rock" program in D3. I also worry about that game or two that option teams have each year were they turn it over five times. This could be a fantastic game, it's only an hour away from me but I haven't summoned the courage to tell my wife I want to go. 

Utica is a tough opponent for Kean, but at least they are home. The Cougars are another historically physical defense and the offense should move the ball better than last week (just 56 yards). I just don't know that it will be enough. The D will have to find a way off the field after allowing 8/16 on third down and 2/2 on fourth down against the Aggies, who had the ball for over 36 minutes.

The Profs have to be better on third down and get more out of the pass game. The ran for over 200. I think their defense out-athletes the option attack of Springfield.

TCNJ opened with 2019 Semifinalist Muhlenberg last week and though they are home I don't see them fairing much better against Cortland group that dominated a traditional midwest power in Wittenberg last week.

WPU is my darkhorse in the NJAC for most improved and I think they take FDU after falling by three to a West Conn. program that has won eight the past two full seasons.

So likely a 3-4 week for the NJAC.

Triston Harris is a great get for Widener at QB. He's from here in Dover, outstanding student and athlete.

I agree with most of this, except I'll take RPI at home. I find RPI's offense more dynamic than Montclair's offense.
