I can't sprinkle you with enough Holy water for all you've done. Please keep us all posted on your needs. I know tuxguy and bluenote would love to play in your band.
Have you contacted the marching band from Centennial H.S. yet? I agree it would be great to have them assemble over by the maint. building and have them march in the south entry.  :)
P.S. Do you have the Lancers contact person?

I have not contacted any marching bands yet. I will have to clear such stuff with carnahan, but I will keep the idea in mind. I do not have the lancers contact person. Also if tuxguy and bluenote could contact me personally about playing that would be fanatastic. Also if you guys dont want to play the pepband can always use a donations.

I agree with you.

You are a brave lady.  You even give your name and everything.  Were you aware that venturing onto this board is like walking into the men's locker room?  You are one rose amongst several thousand thorns.

Haha, meh Being a trumpet player Im used to the all male community.

No brittney will not be playing with my pepband. I think that is a good thing. Anyway, yes it is true that there has been arrengements to allow the pepband to play at the games this year. Some of the details still need to be worked out but so far it looks good. I would like to thank you all for your support. If any of you would like to play or donate in anyway to the pepband cause feel free to email me at abby1345@yahoo.com.

Well since there are so many people interested in the Linfield pepband, I was wondering if I could  get a list from you folks of people who would like/be willing to donate funds or services to the cause. Also, if any of you are alumni and can get a hold of other alumni who would be interested in helping, please send their information my way. On another related note, I wil be playing at two games this weekend, the 20th and 21st. If any of you want to play at the game let me know and I can give you the meeting time and place.

When I talked to carny this year, he was quite cold and wouldnt work with me. He told me the reasons he sold our seats were because they needed the seats (aka money), and we "were inconsistant" aka suck. This is why I feel that he doesnt really want us there. The basketball people have been much more receptive to us playing. Next year, even if we get our seats back, I will continue to play for them. The reason I want to play at football so much is, I think I will get better participation at football than basketball games. Also its not college football without a band.  ;)

Look it doesnt matter if it did or didnt hot rain in pervious seasons. Its oregon. It rains all the time. It is bad for instruments, especilly woodwinds to get wet. That is why we need the cover, Thus we need to be seated in a covered area. Now at the begining of this year I suggested to the AD to set up a tent for us to play under. The music department gave them a solution to their "Stadium Issues" and they didnt bite.

I'm not opposed to having High School bands come and play with us. In fac,t next year I'm going to be more on top of that. I don't however, think they should replace Linfield students completely. I have a few very dedicated students who want to play. Hopefully these people will be able to spread the enthusiasum. Until then I will work with what I got.

Yes the pep band has problems, but that is because there hasn't been anyone to make it into something better than 15 members. I hope I can be the person to make it something awesome, but I can't do so by myself. I need the help from the music, and athletic departments.  I will do everything I can to make sure that next year will be better.

Hello everyone
I figured since everyone is talking about pep band at Linfield, The student director should also be on this forum.
To answer some of your questions:
new music is about 50-70 dollars a chart
liars are 10-25 each depending on the instrument
I dont know how to get more than 10 players, hopefully some of you forum guys might want to play =)
