Wild game at The Griz tonight. 25 fouls called in the first half including 3 technicals and 47 fouls for the game and there probably could have been more called and 62 total free throws for the game?!?! It was definitely crazy! From the get-go, it looked like Chris Martin was not going to allow his team to lose the game. He was pretty good tonight and Millikin is awfully small at the 3 without Mike Gavic. The Big Blue battled throughout but it was late put-backs by Brent Ruch that really hurt them in the end. It's been one of those years for Millikin playing a lot of close games in the conference and not getting the W in the end. Hopefully they can bounce back and get North Central on Saturday for the second time this season.

First time poster here at d3hoops and glad to be here. Hopefully I'll be able to give you some insight about the Big Blue for the remainder of the season.Tough loss last night and a rough stretch of games the last few weeks have really hurt the Big Blue.Injuries have plagued Millikin in the last few weeks and are struggling to find an answer. Before conference play began, Millkin lost Bryon Graven to a knee injury and he has yet to return. A few weeks ago, Starting forward Mike Gavic went down with a torn ACL. This has really been a huge blow for Millikin because Gavic had really been playing well both offensively and defensively.
Looking at last night's box score, it looks like Millikin is trying to fit freshman Ray Kissing into the lineup in place of Gavic along with Sophomore Keanon Harrington. This makes Millikin a farely young team for the rest of the conference season. Hopefully someone can step up and help sweep the season series with Elmhurst on Wednesday night. That's about all I have for now.
