Is the WHTC Audio working for anyone?

Congrats HPU and good luck tomorrow. It took me a week, but I've finally come around to rooting for your team. Hopefully the Hope fans in Holland will be as well. With the Hope Men loosing tonight :(, it should make for a good crowd tomorrow.
For those in Holland, keep in mind that there is no snow on the ground in down town, if the novelty wares off.

A last minute recommendation is Fricano's Pizza. 174 South River Ave.
Though not much for atmosphere, the pizza is thin, greasy, and perfect.

Seems to me Wash U simply said they were going to make Hope beat them, and unfortunately Hope didn't meet the challenge.   :)

Hope gets to contend with 6-10 265 tomorrow. Just put Klien on him right?

At half time the WasU coach said something about taking advantage of what Hope is giving us. I don't know what he saw, or what adjustments they made, but they've had nothing but open looks in the 2nd half.

Great posts berley! Thanks and keep it coming.

Any other views on how the games went and how the matchup looks for would be welcome.

Thanks for the info golfniz1. You'll have to give us a report on the matchup after the Friday games. Hope vs HPU would be a great game Saturday, though I wish it could have waited for March 22.  I can't make the trip, but am looking forward to listening over the internet.

The Brownwood Coliseum looks great from the pictures. However, I do have a question. What primary use was the building originally built for? The stands appear to make a perfect circle around the lower area. It's such an unusual design and I haven't been able to come up with a type of event that would require it. Also, how far is the drop from the balcony to the floor? Looks like it could be dangerous to rush the court.

Thanks for the info Ralph Turner. Very interesting history on the Coliseum. I'd make fun of the fact that they were recently playing with non-standard goals, but Hope was on an incorrectly sized floor until 2005.
I lisened to the end of the McMurry game last night. Sounds like D3 is losing one of it's finest with that loss. Did HPU really earn 45 free throws?
Any chance you could give us an HPU scouting report?

Howard Payne wins. McMurry came back in the 2nd half and had it down to 6 points, but couldn't get closer. (listened to the McMurry broadcast)

At the end of the Hope game, the radio broadcaster was saying that the Hope Women will almost certainly travel to Howard Payne next weekend assuming HP wins. The funny thing was, at the end of the Howard Payne game, the McMurry anouncer said that everyone there told them Howard Payne should just go ahead and pack their bags for Holland Michigan. They speculated that HP might not get 45 Free Throws  :o playing on the road and would have a tougher time without the big (2613) home crowd.

I'm guessing the Hope Women will be flying to Texas next weekend. HP should have hosted a sectional last year, but travel restrictions forced them on the road. This year it looks like the NCAA set the bracket up so that every school would need to fly to the sectional no mater who hosted. Looks like they want to be able to justify having HP host.
Personally I would rather see the Women host and the Men on the road in what appears to be a weaker sectional. However, the Women proved they can beat top teams on the road in 2006, and again tonight.

Why is a Ripon fan talking smack about a Carroll game?

I'm just glad someone is willing to pick up the smack talk slack for the Carroll fans.
I was about to create a new user id, like "Carroll_Customer", and do it myself.  ;)

But seriously, there is no way that Carroll's last two wins where a fluke. There tough schedule has them very well prepared for the tournament. I think Hope can win, but they better be prepared for a battle.

Thanks for the info, but I do understand what a quick count is. I just wondered how the Hope Student Section did it to one of it's own players. I'll try to make my way back to that page...

My bad, guess I misunderstood and didn't mean to insult your intelligence!  :-[ ;D

No problem, and thanks for the info on Stevens Point. If Hope wins Friday, I may make the trip from Minneapolis to see my team on Saturday.
The last time I saw Hope in an NCAA tournament game was 1996 in Ohio. I'm looking forward to a repeat of that great day.
