llamaguy---
sorry for the shot...should be a good game. i will say this, millsaps has some nice players...and an offense that can put up some numbers when it is humming...

QuoteIf you throw out Millsaps first 3 games their defense is giving up 10.8 pts/gm to CMU's 8.2 pts/gm.

...if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle.

QuoteI grew up in a big city so I thought Crawfordsville was in the middle of nowhere. Now that I travel to West Texas on business I know how wrong I was.

Amen, brother...folks who think crawfordsville is in the sticks have not been around...

That's fine...I was (or have been) impressed by Coach C...and what i have heard of him...but don't want to embarrass myself by touting him...over and over again..when maybe he is not the guy I thought he was...does he have to stretch a bit to get kids to consider Wabash??? Just wondering...

Is Wabash an NCAA sanctioned team? Fall Creek Middle School could do a freakining better job...Shi*********!!!!!!

Also,  I've heard from several "sources" regarding Creighton's  truthfullness regarding Huff's eligibility...hmmmm..

MAJOR kudos to the Majors...very impressive....

don't want to beat a dead horse...but i have some issues with coach creighton...and more than one or two h.s coaches will back me up...good to great---everybody patting on each other on the back---whatever...

QuoteBecause he can.  It's a shame we couldn't score one more time and make the score somewhat embarassing.

As a somewhat casual obersver...I get a bit embarrassed by SOME of the Wabash  posters. ..are you all really that insecure? And after watching most of the game on tv today...perhaps some of the blow hards who spend time here could lend some volunteer time to fix the cow pasture you call a football field into respectibility. Stony Brook Middle School wouldn't play on the crap conditions that existed today. Obvioulsy that didn't have anything to do with the outome...but how about a little pride....or at least take on SOME responsibility.

Also---anyone else who has been through the recruiting process with Creighton wonder if his pitch is wearing a bit thin? And how truthful the guy REALLY is????? Have heard and seen some things that make me wonder?????

Quote[Nice article on Rhodes football player Jack Neill in the Memphis newspaper today.  Just another example of the high quality students who are competing in the SCAC.  Here's the link:

Awesome...great to see mainsteam media in decent size markets recognize good stories. Very nice.

The QB mis-handled the center snap, started batting the ball around, C. Clark picks it up and is off to the races.  Ref called it dead ball.  That would have made the score 17-3, with Wabash going into the wind for 4th quarter.  Game would have been over.

That indeed was a HORRIBLE call...

DPU Lefty is accurate in his take on the DePauw-Centre game...offense scored 24 points---should be enough to win---and did a nice job coming from behind in the second half... and Ron's comment regarding Centre is also right on...they used their offensive weapons well...and at the end of the day made the plays needed to win....once Coach Frye and his group find consistency, they will be realy players in the SCAC.

dpu3619...fair enough.

DPU3619---
I respect your opinon and don't have a problem with it.  But at the risk of being a geek---I looked up the stats on the DePauw site to point out it's not about throwing a young guy in there and taking licks and making mistakes. It sounds to me as though he's been making plays with limited mistakes---it is the rotation that has hurt the team and, probably, both QB's. Winkle does a nice job---don't get me wrong.... but the numbers seem to point to the youngster:

Efficiency 131.8   vs.   88
Passing Yards Per game  124.2   vs.   48.4
Completion %  60.4   vs.   53
Interceptions   2   vs.   6

We can agree to disagree...
