Signing off for the day. Good luck to all tomorrow. If any of you see a guy chasing around a one-year old hellion at the game, that would be me.

Rocco: Are you a Johnnie fan? We need to know your affiliation ASAP (so the karma circle jerk can proceed if needed).
I played at Macalester in the late 90's and was a teammate for a season of the notorious OneArmedScot. I've been reading this board for a long time, but have never really posted, because, lets face it, who wants to talk about Mac football.
To answer your question, I have a ton of respect for Johnnie football and think they are a great program. But no, I wouldn't classify myself as a Johnnie "fan". I do, however, share your absolute, unconditional hatred for the Tommies. Does that count for something in said karma circle jerk?

Was perusing Johnniefootball.com (hey-how come you guys never mentioned this site?
) Were there no Oles willing to step up and write the "view from St. Olaf" column?

So I guess I'll weigh in on the game.
At the risk of stating the obvious, this game comes down to how well St. Olaf plays on defense. They've been a much maligned unit for a couple of years now, and for good reason. They have some very good players, but are awfully young in the secondary. If they can prevent the big pass plays that have killed them in the past two SJU games, this game should be close. As a fan, I'm hoping for a game that is in doubt until the end.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Shuttle bus it is.

So here's my dilemna that I'm hoping some of you can help me out with. I am bringing my 1 year old to the game and need some help with logistics. The last time I was there, I had to park way out by the interstate and walk in. I'd prefer not to carry the boy all the way to the stadium, but think it may be difficult to navigate a stroller through a 10K+ crowd at the stadium. Suggestions?

I suppose I should have answered my own question:
MVP: Since the award usually goes to an offensive player and as Duff points out there are really no offensive standouts, might it be the right year for a defensive player to win it? Maybe Kirby Carr (no, I am not a Bethel rube, but the guy has had a big impact on every game I've seen him play and he has some nice stats this season). Otherwise, probably looking at Porta, Penz, or maybe one of the WR's (Gearman, Gant, Frank, etc)
Stam: Bechdol, McNamara, Gunderson
Coach: Again, agree w/ Duff that its Ramler's if they can finish strong-otherwise it will prolly go to Gagliardi

As we near the end of the regular season, who is the MIAC MVP? Stam? Coach?

Piggybacking on KR's post:
When I was in college, I once found myself in a particular campus restroom seated in a particular stall taking care of business. I couldn't help but be amused by what someone had etched upon the walls of the stall:
"St. Thomas Diplomas-Help Yourself" followed by an arrow pointing at the toilet paper dispenser.

Congrats Bennie. You are the winner. Poor Tommies. They mean well. They are just stupid... and you can't fix stupid.

OK. Loooooongtime reader of this board, first time poster. I don't have any particular affiliation with either SJU or UST but something that I believe would be of interest to this board was brought to my attention today and since no one here has brought it up, I felt compelled to share it with all of you:
