ANyhow, one day HSU will jump up in beat us, cause thats how it works with so called rivalries, when a team has dominated another for so long they begin to let thier gaurd down, they don't take thier opponent as serious and wind up getting beat......

FORESHADOWING? I understand he wrote not this playoff run but perhaps if your superstitious, creating a jinx? Im excited to see how the game will pan out

in my personaly opinion looking at all of yalls posts. I see you consistently talking about UMHB and HSU in the second round. Really Id put my yearly savings that it would be UMHB HSU in the First round just due to distance.

My predictions saying everyone wins out is HSU at UMHB while TRINITY travels to MILLSAPS while Huntington or whoever travels off east to face an equal pool b bid team! The fact that Abilene and Belton are soo close is to hard for the NCAA to turn down for obvious financial reasons!

Oh and I am going to go out on a limb and I'll even go to Vegas on this one, MATT FIELDS WILL BE PERFECT THE REST OF THE YEAR!!!!!

Minni...  I love HSU Football but he is has missed not only 3 field goals but 3 extra points... sure u wanna run with that to vegas.. He is a crazy guy i saw him head butting helmets the other day?  ???

i believe the game will come down to the turnover battle and who wants it more... Belton hasnt been tested all season.. Abilene on the other hand since day one has been tested.... It will be an amazing atmosphere.. GO POKES

my statement about the HPU recent "singing.." well thats really good for jordan neal and i know he could incorporate him into the offense... Now saying they have a title run is a different story... D still lacks the athleticism to hang with the conferences best offenses... and no matter how big a kid is .. i believe he could impact the team but not carry a team ...Great Player .. COULD BE... Lead a Team.. DOUBtful.. but then again i could eat my own words .. if i do recall we did lose to howard payne this past year!

BUT THEN AGAIN.... THATS LAST YEAR~

i agree about speed but one thing is.. we can even compare this years defense to last years it would be fair and is awefully dis respectful towards the new coaches. IF people dwell on last year alone then the faint of the team will probably have a similar resemblence... On the other hand we have to give this year a positive outlook going into camp. WE MUST turn over a new leaf and go on to the next chapter of HSU football.. I feel if the team dwells on last years defense it will split the team and tragedy will occur... I hope the leaders of the team stand up address it and be done with it... ITS A NEW YEAR AND A NEW SEASON! ITs time to just wreck guts... THe inexperience on defense is will improved... The PASS RUSH WILL BE THERE THIS YEAR giving the secondary and linebackers in coverage a better chance at covering and not having to cover for longer than 4 seconds.. cause in todays aerial assualt game! 4 SEconds is probably 6!

you right quin is a huge loss to the team! His leadership was unique to the team! On the other hand the defesne has high spirts and high hopes! I know all the coaches started their coaches meetings this monday and they all seem very excited!

With great offensive players returning for hardin simmons such as Mychal Carrillo , Justin Feaster, Travis Watson, and Justice Backer along with last season redshirts Matt Fields and Adam Podzemeny, How productive is this offense looking. They posted fat stats last year and with only losing Quinton Jones in the back field should we expect a bigger season from the flashy Justin Feaster.

The o line being coached by the great Burleson i dont think they will have a problem fillin in the two spots that graduated last year even though those two were monsters on the line.

Another thing.. the past couple of years Adam from Mississippi College had the grace of Jake Allen and the other wide reciever. What exactly does he have returning that gives him the advantage for offensive pre season player of the year?

Im very excited to see what the offensive coaches have in store at HSU with all the weapons they have around.. I mean is there even enough positions on the field to get all their playmakers in?  ;D

The Defense is brining a whole new better ball game to the picture and even though i havent met the new coaches i have enjoyed watching their coaching style during spring drills...

sounds political.... 11 defensive players from Mary were selected all conference and 13 players from their offense... Sounds fishy... but o well the conference and d3 its self is soo jacked up it really doesnt matter....

it was really clear to me who the starter should be. Justin Feaster is the only qb that lead the team down the field and created touchdowns. There is quite the bitterness in the offense right now because everybodies projected starter Clint Bricker is not peforming at all and people dont like that Jordy and Feaster are doing much better. What was with their game plan? Same plays over and over looked like they were running the same 5 plays!!! I have also notcied in teh scrimmage and in last nights game that for some reason when clint is in the game they like to try to run the ball with him. Did these coaches forget how they got to greatness. The past 10 years they have been successful because they throw and catch the football i have never been so mad at play calling before in my life til i saw HSU run a stinking option on 4th and ten....... something has got to be figured out! HSU has tons of offensive weapons. Their recievers are big, fast, and physical and i think the only completed pass of teh first half till the last drive was shovel passes.............

700 yards of total offense for Uw-lax........ i question our secondary and their ability to make plays... time and time again it was post after post after post!

It was very very scary yesterday!

clint bricker took most of the first team stats.. and from an inside source of mine the whole team pretty much wants him to run the offense and is against jordy just becuase of an aweful game he had two years ago against UMHB!

I have been to every practice and public football event so far and Jordy in my opinion although slow footed runs the offense the best and delievers the ball the best...

No qb has been consistent throwing the deep ball many recievers have to stop and come a couple yards back...

CLint def has the stronger arm and more competitive edge .. but when it comes down to being the field general Jordy is definately leading the race!

It is going to be very interesting to see how this plays out. I have heard that alot of the receivers and running backs are complaining about the different qb's becuase they are all different. The timing is different with every receiver and every qb and changiong them in and out every series is starting to piss people off..

I dunno i will be at the game next saturday and it wll be awesome to see how it all unfolds!

yeah former HSU receiver .. im talking present times... has anybody been to a practice or scrimmage... anyways... HSU had the scrimmage yesterday and looked a bit shaky in places particularly the defensive secondary

every receiver is getting a fair look.... considering most of the receivers at HSU are over six foot you might wanna bite your tongue when you talk ....
