Lions, tigers, and bears oh my!!!!  I just finished watching Wizard of Oz and listening to the Pink Floyd album together and smoking my peace pipe.  Well not much has happened on Macs campus I hear they  have a man child in the closet.  6"7 290 lb. beast he will be newcomer of the year in the SLIAC, you heard it hear first.  Has soft hands, nice shot, and a BIIIG BODY.  Practices have been grueling. players hae been battling.  Also Wes Littrell is going to contribute significantly, newcomer from Warrensburg.

The Highlanders will compete in conference.  Pre-conference schedule is absolutely top tier.  Millikin, Albion, Lakeland, Elmhurst, Robert Morris-Springfield, Arkansas State, and I believe Adrian.   No one in conference can boast that schedule.  That will get them ready for conference.  This will be a young hard working bunch of guys that will compete in the SLIAC, mark my words.

As I said before Fontbonne, Webster,  will lead the conference after that maybe Westminster and Grenneville will be there.  Davis was kicked off of the team because of internal chemistry problems, Conquest not coming back takes some scoring away from Greenville, they wil both struggle but be in the top half.  Maryville a year older, may make some noise.  Watch out for Lincoln Christian I hear they have a team that is still in tact from last year they could be somewhere in the middle of the pack. We will see.  That is all for now.  Remember to keep your pets spayed and neutered.

Woody Paige- Also do you wanna know why all these kids are leaving?  One the tuition is ridiculous, two some have better opportunities at another school, in a different state, and a different conference.  That is why.

Im out cannot wait to spar with you this season....dont forget to get your pets spayed and neutered!!!

You just were grammatically wrong there pumpkin.....there should be their.  Oh well as far as my writing, I may not have punctuations, and i dont capitalize everything, nor do I space my paragraphs.   I am sorry....I must have gotten some negative karma for the pumpkin comment.  OOOps not a first.  I am sorry I am not sorry.  I re-read my posts and I did not have any 100+ word paragraphs with no punctuation.  I had 500 words+ blurbs with no space in between paragraphs.  But whatever I am wasting my time on you.

Hopefan-  Did you really think I was lying to you.  My sources and comments were not lies.  I am not going to come on here and make statements that are not true, yes my "act" as Woody Paige as a farce, yes.  I am here reportin
g, the truth.  In your conversation with Coach Creal did he menton if they would be playing Arkansas State?  When? and if it were true???

Also do you wanna know why all these kids are leaving????  One the tuition is ridiculous, two some have better opportunities at another school, in a different state, and a different conference.  That is why.

Im out, I will be back and remeber to get your pets spayed or neutered.

Just a few things to think about......I was bored and looking at the board from page #1 to 20 somehing and Mac Attack, a former poster had some interesting posts about the freshman class from 05-06.  Brady Greene, Evan Birch, Jerrell Robertson, Jerreau Sanders, and Craig Workman.  He had some fantastic things to say about all five of them 2 which were correct.  Birch, Sanders, and Workman played a combined 10 games if that and scored maybe 20 points.

Sanders never stepped foot on a court, Birch played in 2 or 3 and then was injured.  Workman played sparingly in the Mac Run n Gun.  Robertson and Greene played last year and contributed. But both are gone.  Those 2 really hurt.  Greene who is the son of Mac Attack is gone and not playing anywhere as of yet, and Robertson transferred to D2 with ex-coach.

There was no mention of the lone standing freshman from that class Nick Schmidt.  He will contribute a ton this year and will probably lead the team in rebounding.  He is a hard nosed kid and was never mentioned by MAc Attack.  So that is what a great fortune teller Mac Attack was, and he is no longer on the chat  board.  I have never been one to stick up for MAC like macattack did he was totally a fan that wished and wished, but I am a fan and I tell it like it is.  With only one junior on this years roster things  looked good 2 years ago, but the truth is it isnt.

Things I have heard.....MAC will travel to Arkansas State for an exhibition after a holiday idk which I am assuming Thanksgiving, possibly Christmas.  More news.....Word is Farrid Coleman may comeback........in January??????? For second semester???? My thoughts are if he does what is tha point???  And as far as team chemistry he may hurt it, He should have his butt in class right now in my opinion.

Th th th thaaaats all folks, again have your pets spayed or neutered!!!!  See you all soon my friends!

I didn't proclaim that I have seen more games than anyone, I have absolutely, postively seen more than any other individual, that may be my problem....MAC might have blown a 28 point lead in 6 minutes, but GC was at home when the conference tournament was being played in St. LOuis, MAC was not.

Yes they lost, but they were there.  You have replied to my postings twice and you will be checking it again to see what I wrote on you, you are a schmuck!!!!!  You arent helping anyone win games, the games are won by the players not by some pantherpride06 fruitcake........GO AHEAD and dock my karma again cupcake.

MAC does have a problem wih keeping it's coaches that is a MAC athletic department problem not mine......Fontbonne has a bit more money, nicer facilities, and a stable athletic department.  So winning the most games in the SLIAC is a great accomplishment.

My pick is Fontbonne to win it all and possibly win a game in the NCAA TOurney a first for a SLIAC team maybe???  Webster, Westminster, and Blackburn will be in the top four.  the next four will be Greenville, Maryville, Eureka, and MAC, the bottom will be LC and Prin.  this is early but I will stay by my predictions.

THAT is all for now friends, see you real soon.

In my old age I get confused from time to time about which shows I am featured on......That is a joke though he obviously (Woody Paige) would not bother to post on a D3 hoops website.  I am here to speak the truth, start controversy and whatever else i feel I need to do.  I have seen more MAC games in the past 5-6 years than anyone I am sure of that, whether it be on film or in person.

Are you happy Pat????? Just kidding.

Panther Pride what was your title at GC games???  Emcee, stat guy, hype man, or all of the above????   Whatever you are in all of my years of attending basketball games, I have never seen a guy come from behind the scorers table and run around the gym....your fans were cheering and laughing at you...several MAC fans were like who is this knucklehead?   TRUE story.  Go ahead and knock my karma down for that one......

So Fontbonne gets the greatest athletes in the country, I am guessing???  Everyone on their roster is either a D1 or D2 athlete in bball, ftball, or hockey of course they win the conference every year, what was I thinking....FCNEWS I will be on here all the time baby!!!!!! My kind aint going nowhere!!!!!!!

MAC has new kid on campus, supposed to be athletic as Robertson, about 6"2-3.  Other than that undersized and young will be the roster.  Noone taller than 6"4, thats Compton.  When I hear more info I will let you my good friends know......Till next time, make sure to get your pets spayed or neutered.

This is going to be a fun season.......First off Panther Pride.....Woody Paige is who I am and I am an avid fan of the SLIAC I just never get a chance to speak about it on PTI, second of all I sometime dont make sense my co-workers will tell you that first.  I also have been the most logical poster on this board and all of my observations are correct.  I recall PAntherPride running around like A fool wat the end of the MAC greenville game at greenville...Now that is real mature for a mid to late 20 year old SID running around the gym, I dont recall any other SID doing such a thing in my life???  My knowledge of other schools may not be as great as hopefan but from what Ive seen against MAC has been dead on.  I bring the energy and inside information to this chatroom and that is it.  Eureka SID your two bigs were dominated by Storandt???  That is unbelievable, he does do his job by rebounding and being a bruiser....other than that offensively he is limited.  Yes Tarpley killed MAC when it counted, but as I stated previously Robertson was like maybe 70 % healthy and Tarpley had his day in the sun and proved he was worthy of league MVP.  Richards is a high energy slow footed player that really didnt kill MAC in any of the three games they played.  I give respect where respect is due.  The nicknames of the SLIAC schools are not any of my interest, I meant FU that would be the griffins, and gorlock was a corealtion to what i feel storandt plays like.  There was no personal attack on the player I was attacking his game and the way he plays if you were truly at that game then you would have seen him take cheap shots at MAC players.  I dont know storandt or any SLIAC player personally like you all talk like you do so attack them individual or attacking their character is not my style...I am just telling it like it is, and how I see it.  I am sure hes a great kid but he played like I saw and stated on the board in the 2 games I saw.  Also one player on MAC spoke to me after the game at MAC and told me #30 or #50, I cant remember or care which one it was, the rougher looking of the two was which one it was.... he said he threatened him and said he would take care of him after the game if this is any indication of what kind of players you have I wouldnt be backing a team or a player like that.  And what D2 schools were wanting Storandt's services if you could get me a list I will find out if they are true.  He is 6"8 so maybe I see it, but at the same time, if he was "heavily recruited by D2 schools"  why isnt he at one???  Let's be logical when we make statements on here guys....man!! I believe the loyalty was showed when Hettinga asked Robertson to go with him and take a chance on the kid that has only competed against the SLIAC and a few other D3 teams.  Now that is loyalty!!!  I am not a MAC brown nose I will tell it like it is, like I said Eureka came to play in the tourney and smothered MAC, no doubt, but every now and then a blind squirrel gets a nut. lol  That is all for now peace to my friends in the middle east

That game was out of control thanx to goofy savage Storandt, who has no basketball ability, but is good at attacking people.  That was actually the game Robertson was hurt in, by one of the Gorlocks.  Which in 22 mins he had 21 and 6.  I also believe he was hurt in the first 5 minutes or so of the 2nd half, so he was on pace for a huge possibly 35 point night against a bunch of goons.

fc- i never said he could shoot threes or free throws.  I said he athletically was out of his league and he needed to work on his skills, and that would turn him into a good D2 player.  He can score outside of 6 feet also, he could shoot the 12 to 15 ft. jumper he just was unstoppable on the offensive rebound side that thats all he shot. He was so much more athletic than every player in the SLIAC thAT he didnt need to use his jump shot.  He will develope, and he will gain a jump shot, and I cannot wait to see your FC team.  Yeah and what have I been preaching my last few posts???? The 3 that left (4 if you include Whalum) were the most intrigal parts of the team and they are gone....DUH

I believe he may be a redshirt this year so he should do fine with the year of working his tail off.  You have to remeber his athleticism is what made him the player he was, he will still have that talent.  Yes everyone in that division is talented, but he is going to change position and get stronger and work on his overall game.  Remember that he was undersized in the SLIAC as a post, so the change to the wing will will help his chances of playing well at that level.  As for sub .500 D2, Hettinga turned a 9-16 team into a conference winner, with only one player he brought.  That guy has scholarships to throw everywhere and he is a hell of a recruiter.  His presence and coaching abilities turn them into a .500 club this year.  With a year or two  (which is when Robertson will be playing) of recruiting this team will be competing for the conference championships, or at D1 school.  As for the Hockey fans showing up because their selling out hockey games, no one goes to D2 games anyways, so the only thing that will happen is more fans will come out to watch them, just like last year at MAC.  IM OUT

;) Thanks Pat!!!!!  I wasnt really saying that Robertson shoul aspire to play pro i was just saying if he was willing to work hard and develope his game, he has a better chance as a D2 student athlete.  Thank you that is all.........

Well first off FC have you ever spoken to the kid????? Did you get to know him when he came to St. Louis and had 18 and 5 at your place, or were you at MAC when he had 21 and 6?? Did you guys chat about knitting scarves for the winter and what kind of green tea you are drinking that particular week????  NO you didnt, so dont tell me hes a great kid you guys dont know these guys personally.  Second of all just because he didnt have the best stats, doesnt mean he isnt their best player.  I think he led the team in scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage, second in blocks, and third in steals.  he also took the third most shots on the team.  A team that was guard heavy, and a team that didnt look to him alot, he shot 60% from the field, and he had 76 offensive rebounds which means that he had about 65 of those 145 makes off of offensive rebounds.  Thats about 45%of his points and shot attempts off of offensive rebounds.  If you guys ever actually watched him play and understood his contributions to the team you would understand he was their best player last year.  Coleman, the "POINT GUARD" led the team in shot attempts, and was second in scoring.  He also shot the worst on the entire team from the field....just in case he was the pick for the best.  Seth WHalum, who I believe you guys were talking about as an aspiring pro basketball player thinking about playing in a pro league somewhere was a 5-10 2 guard who was a co-leading scorer with Robertson, led the team in free throw attempts and makes, second in shot attempts, led the team in steals, had the second worst field goal percentage, and was second in asssits by default.    I wasnt saying that he will and should play professionally nor was I hinting at that thats why hes in school , I was just saying that a player at the D2 level had a better shot at a pro contract possibly than one at MAC.  Of course education is important, the most important, but there is hope for him if he can transition smoothly into a 3 I can see him playing somewhere.   Yes Seth  was their go to guy in the clutch.  Seth and Farrid are both great guys and I am not hating on them, but facts are facts.  Did anyone see when Robertson went down with an injury against you guys.  In 22 mins he had the 21 and 6.  From that point MAC struggled to beat MAryville at home, Blackburn at their place without Robertson.  When he was at 100%in the regular season he killed the slow footed Tarpley and Richards on Eureka.  In the tourney he was at 70%and still had 17 and 7. So now FC who is the best player on the MAC squad from last year???? You tell me since you seem to know everything about this team, who was their best player???  Huh was it Mike Jones?????

Im not sure Robertson will play this year.  There is ways to sit a player out and improve their skills and strength with  a year of redshirting.  Im sure ex-MAC coach sees something in him as a player and a thing called potential is definitely evident.  There is also a thing called scholarship money, schools loyalty (which MAC actually lacks), and if an individual is willing to work hard he can transform himself into a reliable player on a D2 roster.  First of all at MAC how much was he paying????  At the Michigan school he can get actual money to go to school, he will have food and a room paid for.  Whether the school is a hockey power or not I am sure they are taking care of their student athletes better than MAC.  MAC is like a flop house they have students and faculty come in and out like a cheap whore house.   They being the D2 school have a contract with a shoe company that gives them gear, multiople pairs of shoes that they DO NOT have to purchase, and takes care of the school or team.  The coach is not stupid he turned a 9-16 team into a conference champ hes not going to take a chance on someone that he doesnt feel will help him, if he did then I am sure he would have brought the whole team with him.  Robertson is a 3 at that level and if he works hard he can turn into a player that will help out a D2 program, not a low tier D3.  There is a better chance he could play at a pro level whether it be overseas, ABA, or CBA, than coming from a D3 program.  This kid is looking out for #1 and whats wrong with that.  I didnt see any development in him at MAC in 2 years.  With a D2 program he can actually work with the staff on an individual basis, that in itself will improve his abilities and turn him into a D2 player.  His athletic ability is what made him a good D3 player in a weak league, if his work ethic is anywhere near his athletic ability watch out, because he has the tools to be at that level just not the skills.  Anyone would take that opportunity and run if they were put in a situation to move up a level, he did the right thing.  Whether he takes advantage of it or not is up to him.  I am surprise it took 2 years of Robertson playing in this league to move, if I were him I would have left after year 1.  MAC didnt take a hit they just don know how to take care of its own.  The SLIAC should be grateful they dont have to try to take RObertson, ex-coach and company on next year and that they just have to deal with a first year coach that has no idea what hes getting into and a bunch of second rate players and some fill ins.  MAC lost too much to even be considered for the top half, the teams that were under them which are waiting to take some licks at them and bring them back down to the doormat of the SLIAC.  So dont hate on Robertson congratulate him for making the best decision of his young life and bettering himself.......Im outta here

Well whether there is an NAIA in Maryland or not, the fact of the matter is MAC loses arguably and most positively in my opinion their 4 best ingredients due to graduation, transfer, or whatever the case may be.  Where Brady Greene goes is Creal's problem, not mine.  I just hear things and report on it.  The fact thatthe team returns....Neil Compton, Billy Long, Nick Schmidt, Adam Polstein???, and some sophmores that never saw the floor, is what bothers me......None of these names showed me enough to last year or any year for that matter to lead a team on or off the court.  A transfer whether it be from Milikin, JUCO, or Illinois STate cannot help this team in leadership.  I dont know what incoming freshman are looking like and since MAC hasnt shown the capabilities of luring a real impact freshman since the legend of Derek Suttles has graced GAY COURT at WALL GYMNASIUM I forsee a dark and gloomy future for Mac BBALL.  Till next time haters check your watches cuz its Schmidts time to shine...........

Where has Macattack been??? No info on MAC Hoops??  Got it here..... Brady Greene, Farrid Coleman, and Jerrell Robertson will not be returning to campus.  Word is all three are transferring to other schools.  Robertson is following former Mac coach north.  Greene will be transferring to an NAIA in Maryland, and Coleman is searching for a school in his state of Michigan.   This leaves huge holes in the Mac starting lineup and team.  The leadership these three carried was very evident in their run through the SLIAC, hope Creal is still out their trying to lure some talent to Jacksonville, because he will need it.  I believe Neil Compton and Billy Long are the longest tenured Highlanders and will need to show some leadership this year for this Mac squad to hang in there.  Will Schmidt have a bigger role on the new team??  Will he be able to produce like he did last year with more minutes??  Who are Creal's recruits or transfers coming in?   And who is Mike Jones??  Those are questions to be asked this year for a team that will include new faces and faces that did not play last year.  I will be  back later with more info.
