Yep, you guys are right, there are only 4 or 5 teams that legitimately have a shot to win the national championship every year. 3 of them are still playing and i'd have to stick St. Johns and possibly Hardin Simmons in that category, the only reason they have not been advancing to this level is because they keep playing us in the first round every year. ANyways, Saturday will be an awesome test for both teams. The Cru's advancing this year though, this team is playing its best football right now and has really jelled and come together at the end of the year when it's mattered. Besides, I know the U wants another shot at us, seeing as though we are the only team in america with a winning record against em..... GO CRU..... GO TEXAS FOOTBALL

Congrats CRU! That was a hell of a ball game. HSU played thier butts off, i was impressed with thier offense. 9-2 with thier only two loses at the hands of UMHB by a combined 5 points, thats pretty rough. UMHB 9 of the last 10, thats dominating, Thats Crusader football!!

Terrible, Awful, pathetic.......thats what I think of when I think of HSU defense. The Crusaders will win this game, if i had to bet, by at least 2 or 3 td's. I would venture to say HSU has the worst defense in the 32 team field, we should look up the stats.....which would make sense because they play so many girly men on that side of the ball. For that matter, their whole team can be lumped into the that category.......every year. On the other hand, the Crusaders remind me of Santana Moss, ya know, wide reciever for the Redskins......they are Cowboy Killers!! The Cru didn't play very well the first game, i'd expect alot more out of them tomorrow in Belton, Pete'll have em ready to play, he always does! ANyhow, one day HSU will jump up in beat us, cause thats how it works with so called rivalries, when a team has dominated another for so long they begin to let thier gaurd down, they don't take thier opponent as serious and wind up getting beat......yeah, that'll probably happen one day, in like 2030 or something, but it won't be happening this week, not in this playoff run. Wait............wait.............do you guys hear that sound........its comign from the west....it sounds like plastic clapping together, dull thuds as well....wait, what is that?? Oh, I know.......its HSU stacking thier pads.......Jocks on the left, Thigh pads on the right, and you guys can have tomorrow off...........HAHAHAHA.......I know.......I know......you all hate me
Go CRU

Cuafan,
UMHB education is great, I hold a multiple degrees from the university so I can speak to that, if your offended by my grammar be my guest, i'm not worried about it. Please, come up with something original before you write back, pleeeeeeaase................. Your stance on my accomplishments not having anything to do with the game or season is correct, which if you read my last post you'd know i agree with.....wait......can you read?
?? However (and this is assuming you are able to read) our past accomplishments do represent that we have a great football program and have had one for some time. Lastly, i do act like a 12 year old, and i love it!! Come on, let me see a show of hands, who here wouldn't like to be a kid again sometimes......anybody...... Oh, by the way, last time I checked my IQ was way above normal, like einstein levels, seriously, i'm smarter than you

I find it equally funny that you guys say that no one cares about what i'm writing but continue to write paragraph responses, a little contradictory don't you think. I loved the varsity blues comment though, thats pretty good, see thats what i'm looking for some one to fire back at me with more than "obviously those coaches you railed about didn't teach you any humility" Seriously Bowerman, you can do better, there's a man inside you that wants to call me names and scream at me...... let it out man!! But when your right your right Cowboyfan, my accomplishments are in the past and i'm fine with that, there is no way i'd want to suit up now, i'd say i'm prolly only good for about a series now, then i'm done ......or dead maybe. Anyways, i'm pretty much the most interesting person in the world so i'll come back monday and grace you all with my presence, theres alot you all can learn from me!!

The difference between me and the TLU fan you speak of is i really don't care what you guys think, if i did i wouldn't be so "replusive" As a matter of fact i love that fact that i'm "repulsive" to you, i thrive on it. I enjoy stirring the pot a little, getting under your skin a little, having a little more than the ussual "oh i really respect your team but i think mine will win" BORING conversation. I've obviously done so, you're obviously a little ticked off, and i think its HILARIOUS! You have a ring.......wow!! congratualations!! you split a conference title with 2 other teams........Good Job!! Now, multiply that by 5 and then come talk to me. Is that Arrogant, probably Cowboyfan, but again, i think its hilarious. I'm sorry you guys don't like my personality, i'm gonna go cry now...........

Hope HSU Packs a Lunch, cause its gonna be an all day a** whoopin from the CRU. Ring fingers are getting heavy in Belton!! I already hear key jingling!! UMHB's former rival HSU will be going back to Abilene with thier tales tucked between thier legs. Get ready, its gonna be ugly, all I gotta say is 46 and 47, POWDER RIVER FOOTBALL from the CRU, (thats right POWDER, look it up, its an old mining term i believe)

Whats all this talk about the UMHB pass defense, I agree we could've played better, but seriously guys, the only touchdown they scored we were lined up wrong, we had 2 corners over and no one defending on one of thier recievers, who ended up scoring an easy touchdown. TLU's QB is pretty athletic, i think he'll prove to be a good ASC player this year. The injury to Quincy hurts, not just because he's an outstanding football player but he's an outstanding kid, you hate to see that happen to anyone but Quincy embodies everything that UMHB football is about, you just can't say enough about this kids character! with his work ethic and attitude I have no doubt he'll make a full and speedy recovery. Anyways, GO CRU, 63-7 to start conference play should get the word out, we'ain't goin anywhere!!!

Pat, I understand you aren't fond of the way i stated myself earlier, and I know you do alot for D3 football, but when someone defames a person I know and love you are going to get a heated reaction from me. While I respect your opinion, i'm never going to be one to hold my tounge. Sorry if your still offended, ginuinely.....
Ralph, I agree that a players actions off the field are at the heart of many concerns for coaches all over the country, I just can't imagine anyone holding a coach responsible for those actions. Coaches can influence the decisions of their players, but they can't make them for them. Anyways, its over with, lets move on
Cru15, not gonna make it to austin this weekend buddy, i'll be there next weekend though, Me, you, Austin, NNNNNNNNNdegwa, Tone, and Kube need to plan on getting together, good luck with your game this wekend, let me know how it goes........................ Where's Bill McCabe at???

Bowerman, you are obviously putting a judgement on a man because of the actions of another. Just because someone coaches a player does not mean they condone their actions off the feild. I played college ball, i was 18, 19, 20 years old, and i'm pretty sure that every decision I made while I was a player at UMHB wasn't in line with what the coaches saw as right and they wouldn't have supported some of them had they known. To pass judgement on a coach because a player goes off and does something stupid outside of the realm of football is ridiculous. Coaches are there to mentor, to teach, to guide, but they can't make decisions for people and they can't be there all the time. I think it's absolutely ridiculous for you to ridicule a man that in the decade i've known him, has shown nothing but love, support, kindness, and positive motivation for his players. Ask anyone who's ever known the man, and they will tell you there is not a bad bone in his body. I wrote my opening remark to joke around, to give this post a little humor and you come back with something like this. Hey Josh, one day you'll have kids, if you don't have them already, and my bet is that when they get into thier teens they'll do some things you don't approve of, things that'll make you say to yourself "i didn't teach my kids to act that way, i brought them up better than that" and when that happens, think about your remarks about Joe George. Besides, if you where half the man he is you never would have brought that up. You officially SUCK!
