The most interesting part of the game was the role reversal.  Mount playing the part of underdog and getting overly excited over every big play (the way double dubs used to do) and WW being almost too cool, calm, and collected.

The second most interesting part is the fact that nobody seems to mention that the more FIBs are on the team, the more double dubs dominates.  Coincidence?  Nah, but, definitely reinforces the fact WW used to play favorites.  Now, they play players and the results speak for themselves.

Levell Coppage just cemented himself as the Greatest Warhawk of All Time.  Hands down, no discussion.

Apparently, ESPNClassic is not included in the comcast package anymore so I was listening to Pat and Keith too.  Great broadcast, but, just listening makes it so much more tense!

This is a bit of a side bar, but, will hopefully this will give you a lil idea how Warhawk mania is spreading in Chicago.  I've been working at the same company for 6 years now and when I first started I would talk about the Hawks and everybody would say "UW-Who?"  Now, we've got people following the Hawks on-line and coming to me for predictions!

Congrats again and enjoy your success!

that was awesome, I hope it's copywritten (if that's a real word) and\or you're a professional writer.  nice work, my man, I'm feeling festive myself.

I am back on the board for one day as I have been boycotting this site ever since the gestapo deemed one of my posts inappropriate even though he lets the  biggest jag-offs post on the daily.

31-28 hawks

aahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahhaaa....

All I ask, and all I have ever asked is.... RESPECT THE GAME.

cuz, if you don't, the game won't respect you...

and you'll feel it.

I love you MUC guys, I really do.  You're just too easy, but, I was really hoping for more hatred.  I even gave you a couple of days.  You've gone soft.

I hate explaining a post, but, at the very least you have admit the skill guys have benefited greatly from short fields and huge holes throughout the years.

It's just my opinion, and if you don't like then screw.

Here are my 5 reasons:  All 5 starting MUC O-Linemen will be recalled by Ohio State right before kickoff.  Let's be honest, they have been the difference the last two years.  Their "skill" guys always have and always will be average.

Ok maybe not just that, it's their O-line and undersized yet incredibly athletic and aggressive defense are the real reasons for their dominance.

But, not to worry Double Dubs faithful, Da' Beav just won the Heisman (Gagliardi),  Da' Hawks have been on ESPN the last three years, and they are starting to put guys in the league.  A few guys will get a shot this year too.  I promise you, the recruits/transfers they get will be insane.

MUC Faithful, this is what they call the writing on the wall.  End of an era, it's due time for a changing of the guard.

Hero - Danny Jones

D Player of Game - Gabe Shulz(or however you spell it).  They kept going at him thru the air and on the ground, but, he answered every time.  He also got robbed on that pass interference call.

Congrats to the Cru and the Cru faithful.  You are one tough ass team with a lot of fight.  At the last game, I was standing behind the UMHB stands for awhile and saw how pumped up their fans (fathers/brothers/cousins) were getting.  I see where the players get their fire.

Beaver just got hurdled...unbelievable.

4th quarter, time for someone(a Hawk obviously) to be a Hero.
#11
Good to see the Hawks going after them thru the air.

They just showed the UMHB stands and the same crazy cats are there losing their minds again.

Great Job, Brady Pitz on the intros.  I still am crying over here about the Gabe Schulz comment.  Hilarious.

I doubt you're right, bobhawk, but I SINCERELY believe that you have your head so far up Goo's ass that you're using his gallbladder as a pillow.

Old School's Thoughts on this week's posts:

1.  Love this post from WABCO, "Great seniors we lose.  Great Juniors, Sophs, Frosh we have."  Who is this guy...frickin' Yoda?

2.  Not only can the Cali Kid play in the snow, but, he did it without sleeves or gloves.  Gotta like that.

3.  Regarding noisemakers...back in the day when UW-RF ran the wishbone, playing up there was crazy.  At least half of their fans were using airhorns at ANY point during the game.  Lucky for us, we had Levake.  He merely gave the crowd a disaproving look and we heard no more than a whisper for the rest of the game.

4.  As much as I love the "Corky from Life Goes On" reference and bold predictions, I think your a bit off on the final.  It will be a TD or less, I'm going with 28-24 Hawks.  UMHB was the only game I saw all year and if they don't throw 18 yard outs into the wind, it's a much different game.  Not to mention, they don't look like they work on the passing game much anyway either offensively or defensively. Finally, the fans that traveled to Wisco last time are completely out of their minds.  They stayed behind the team no matter how bad it got.
