Well one TD was a first play bomb for a TD-I'm fine with that.
SJU was behind or tied, so they threw-when you get 5 yards a throw underneath, why not throw.
Bottom line the D needed to make a few third down stops, like 3rd and 25!

To be clear-all I am saying is SJU should have been playing in the semi or even quarter finals more. I am not saying SJU should have won championships-not with ncc and uww out there at the time.

Hey-don't forget Dayton 89 and Mount 93-although they were clearly better, but we didn't know.
It has to be an indictment on this coaching staff that they had two of the best QBs in the nation and made only one semi. The D seems to have fallen so far-SJU was dominant on D for many years. D wins championships is so true-we have to get the focus back on D.

I have no doubt the SJU team will take their opponent very seriously-but we as fans can know SJU will roll.
Now, do I expect the SJU D to give up yards and maybe points on the first drive-yes, that is the MO over the years-but then adjustments are made and I am confident the D will play a good game-maybe 2 ints by the D as well.

I feel pretty good about this game. Like 2003 v RPI, I think SJU rolls on to face Wartburg, although bethel is a very good team, I just don't want SJU to play them again.
