Thats EXACTLY what it meant! Pedro never, that I saw in the interview, EVER said anything bad about the Maroons. As I saw it he was upset with the way HIS KIDS played. Now- whether or not it was us executing badly( which I think he thought) or it was Roanoke's just plain good play remains to be seen......but- like my coach always said in HS...."The eye in the sky DON'T LIE!" I'm sure when they reviewed the tape they figured that out but it was obvious to those of who follow RMC Football closely that Pedro was indeed PISSED and it was unusual for him to publicly make statements like this about his team unless hes really upset with them! When this happens I wouldn't want to be those guys in that locker room this week because I'm quite sure he has made it known to them that hes not happy with their performance!

Stinespring is a good coach and this team will only get better !! The QB is good and I don't know whether it was how good Roanokes pass attack is or if it was our DB's playing poorly but I think it was a combination of both! The Maroons are FOR REAL!

Oh sorry.....he didn't let Casciola
speak to the media.said we were " Sloppy" and " he doesent like how his team is playing" " We've won three ODAC games this year....These guys had nothing to do with the other 25" ODAC win streak...." So these guys need to realize that "...." i don't see a lot of execution out there".... And he didn't like a whole lot of what his defense did yesterday....Lets just say I don't think it was a very pleasant bus ride home yesterday, and the film room today may not be so lively either!!

W&L-RMC start time moved up to noon because of the rain predicted- I'm not gonna go....just gonna catch it on FloSports....because I didn't want to ride two hours up to stand in the rain....lol......I wonder how the rain may affect our defense against the W&L Triple option attack? Even though they will keep the ball dry and we have a turf field one slip can mean a long run for the Gennies! THATS a tough attack to stop to begin with......hope Pedro has us up to the task!! GO JACKETS!!🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

The Yeshiva game is at 815 pm on Homecoming/HSC game day. We should have a "Tuned Up" Crowd! LOL.....Yeshiva could only play after sundown on Saturday because of Shabbos, The Jewish Sabbath, as they are an Orthodox Jewish University. They had a game with Mary Washington and wanted another one with their trip down south. I havent checked Mary Wash's schedule to see if their game with them is before or after ours. Coach Merkel, as I understand it, agreed. Should be a good one!

It was AWFUL!! Looks like the prognosticators were SPOT ON!! The way we've looked the last two weeks we will be lucky to even win the ODAC!! At this point I would favor the Tigers!! We stumbled at home vs Berry last year early but we didn't look as bad as we did today!! All the credit to Central- they MADE US look bad!! Congrats to them on the win.....it's gonna be a long trip home with our tails between our legs like this!! Secondary was not sharp, despite the int's ....we looked tired and slow....we dropped AT LEAST 5 passes... KICKER missed two, albeit long ones but still missed...NO pass rush to speak of....we looked UNINSPIRED....TOTALLY!. Just like we missed to plane to Iowa.....we have MUCH to work on , that's FO SHO!! We better WAKE UP!! Bridgewater....then W&L in Ashland next two weeks....theyre gonna be SMELLING 🩸 BLOOD!! Time to PUT UP OR SHUT UP JACKETS!!

You guys just gave us a whole lot of motivation, as if we needed more!! 🐝🐝🐝🐝👍GO JACKETS!!🐝🐝🐝🐝
Do you need our motivation to win a football game?
And Yes!You do- Football is a game of motivation AND EMOTION, in addition to skill! Didn't you ever play?? If you did, did your coach ever do that?? Mine sure did....rubbing a little salt in a wound adds a little extra to the battle!

September 09, 2025, 09:13:30 AMQuote from: HSCTiger74 on September 08, 2025, 07:19:01 PMJust saw the Tigers O-line made the D3 team of the week!I agree that seeing a more physical Tiger team ,especially in the trenches, is a good thing and a definite difference from the pass happy "outscore the other team" philosphy of the Marty Favret era. This will bode well for the ODAC as a conference, as well as the emergence of some other teams, especially newcomers Roanoke! I think all of the conference has their eyes on their performance every week. A more competitive ODAC is good for ALL OF US! We have a really tough two game stretch the next two weeks- traveling to Iowa to play Central Saturday then returning home to play an always tough nemesis of ours, W&L!! They always seem to have our number and play us close or beat us. At least that game is at home and I am lucky enough to have scored Presidents Box Passes for my bride and myself for that game thanks to a Football Alum friend whos hosting that week! GO JACKETS!! GO ODAC!!Quote from: Tigerfan on September 08, 2025, 01:53:31 PMWoo hoo! The Tigers are receiving vote in this week's D3Football.com poll. Coach Luvara and his staff have been doing tremendous work in recruiting. Quite a change to see the Tigers getting physical and winning battles on the line of scrimmage. I like the direction of this program.
Like you I'm pleased and encouraged by what we saw on Saturday, and I definitely hope that it is a sign of things to come. But we need to temper our expectations a little bit and remember that it was only one game, and (if you believe the comments over on the MAC board) against a team that may be looking at a less successful year than they're used to. Hopefully they can keep it up, but let's see how they do the next two weeks against W&J and Shenandoah.

I was in Ashland for the game and were it not for the turnovers the game would indeed have been different!! I would NOT LIKE to be a DB in our film room today!! Secondary was suspect at BEST!! And YES that was an INT Casciola threw early!! Dunno where that came from!! All in all we have lots to work on going forward, especially for our game next week in Iowa!! One bright spot was Mitchell " THE HAMMER" Johnson running for 116 yds and our LB play. Casciola personally could have played A LOT better, also! It was a hot night in the COTU and there was a lot of substituting, but for us to give up 20 points in the 4th quarter in a game we should have put away early is a scary thought!! HSC is much improved, W&L IS ALWAYS TOUGH, and there's a Roanoke team out there to keep an eye on also!! Gonna be an interesting season!!

Pedro once again is keeping his cards close to his chest.Gonna be a warm night in Ashland Friday night.High here will be about 90-95 Friday after an unseasonably cool last two weeks so I would expect some cramping, even with better conditioned teams. Also should mean more substituting across the board.....GO JACKETS!!
