Two things - Albertson as a College wants to go Division III in a bad way...the only way the school can be a Top-100 Liberal Arts College is to go D-III and join the NWC...if they go, they will go in all sports (the school has every sport the NWC offers - minus men's tennis)...
The other is that there is talk of a West Coast football alliance for all Non D-I, Non D-III, Non-Frontier schools...
Azusa Pacific, Humboldt State (which just joined the non-football CCAA), Southern Oregon, Western Oregon, Eastern Oregon (which would leave the Frontier in a heartbeat), Western Washington, and Central Washington would be the nucleus of the league - with talk that both British Columbia and Simon Fraser would convert to American rules and join the league as NAIA members...
Heard Pacific will be working more on FB revenue now that they have the $$$ for their baseball/softball, track/soccer upgrades...
