Maryville wins 21-14. Huge upset in the USA South. Anxious to see how this conference plays out the rest of the year. Cant wait!

Wow, I havent been on this board a quite a long time... However I do love the USA South Conference. Looks like this is going to be another great year for this conference. As for my picks, I think is comes down to Averett NCW this year. I think Averett has the complete package and will be a great football team this year. NCW may not be as complete but they have more athletes than anyone in the conference. I could very easily put CNU up there as well but didnt just because I don't know much about them coming into this year, maybe some of you colonels can fill me in? CNU is the best coached team in the conference in my opinion, so they will always be solid. So as I see it
1) Averett (is Squillini back? He was a great WR)
2) NCW (athletes everywhere... Their defensive line can compete with any dline in D3)
3) CNU (They always have great RBs, they come outta nowhere every year)
4) Shenandoah
I think the hornets are gonna bounce back this year after a tough year last year of losing so many close games last year. This team fought hard every game, as I was able to watch them many times on their schools website. Its amazing how hard they played even at the end of the year when they kept losing 3 point or less ball games. I think they win those games this year, lucks back on their side???
5) Ferrum (I hear they lost alot, but their ball control game and D is tough)
6) Maryville
I really want to rank maryville higher, but it seems every time I read up on them they are having to overcome so many injuries. I think Coach Ierulli is an outstanding defensive coordinator. Every year though they get done in through injuries, I think it was the first game last year they lost their sophomore QB HUNT to a career ending head injury? That kid was awesome... could fly and was extremely accurate. Then Conner (big tough qb) took over and I heard yesterday that he has season ending shoulder surgery and a freshman starting at QB. They have the best secondary in the conference and that will keep them in most games, but with so many young players in i find it hard for them to compete at the top level. They are some tough kids tho, the scrappiest football team Ive ever seen.
7) Greensboro
8) Methodist
Whoever represent the USA South in the national playoffs this year, I hope they take it a long way!!

T Lowe makes plays... thats the bottom line. Without him Greensboro would have trouble winning games this year. He could be on there for WR or ST
I heard from one of my Maryville sources that their QB Hunt is out this week with a concussion he suffered against Ferrum. I have seen Maryville play twice this year and in one of them he threw 3 Tds and ran for another throwing for over 300 yards. I know he has had other statistically average games but he has had no trouble finding the endzone this year... 7 TDs throwing and 4 Tds rushing. And Maryville is a whole different team when he is on the field. If he could stay healthy he would be my vote for QB uncontested. Also just a freshman.
Mayo is the other QB you gotta consider. Sounds like he had a great game against MC last week.
Also Jordan from NCWC Has already thrown for over 1000 yards... however he has 9 INT to go with 6 TD. The Qb position will be a close race.
RB This conference has so many good Rbs, Ogun, Hightower, Roberts... I cant pick one
WR.. Persnally I think the kid from Averett is a stud I cant remember his name at the time. Also good is T Lowe and Idlette the freshman from maryville, Webb from CNU and Methodist has two good ones. Any of these guys.
