You needed to see the game to see the difference in the two. Foote reminded me of Librizzi at Wes a few years back. You live by the sword you die by the sword. 50 tosses! He was very poised and stood in the pocket well. Showed some rust. Glad that Wes pulled it out and is off to a 1-0 start for the first time in a while. Finally pulled out a tough win.

Foote looks like the real deal. I would not want to play them later in the year when he gets comfortable. QB play in the NESCAC is key.
Wes looks like they did last year. Not enough skill players to make a play. Coyne is inaccurate passing and a good runner. Needs to improve decision making. Looks like the Yale offense through their losing years.

Any thoughts out there regarding the change in AD at Williams? Would Whalen have stayed if he knew Sheehy was leaving? Impact on the NESCAC?

Any news on the Williams situation? Cannot be critical of Wes and their timing in waiting for Whelan as they seem to be getting their staff on board with the addition of Seidlecki as well.

Part of the problem going to the defensive side of the ball is that Coach Hauser was also the OC, QB, and HC. The DC is already doing a great job at Wes. They would have to add coaches to the offense if they went in that direction.
Walsh and Acquarulo would make excellent candidates otherwise.

Don't get me wrong I believe it would still be a positive move for Wes and the NESCAC to have him in the league again! I have met him before and have a lot of respect for him as a Coach, just relaying some of the fallout of the Yale situation.

True, Hauser is gone and agree Trin 8-0 should have been a few years ago. Do not agree with the Siedlecki route as I know some people who played for him at Yale and Wes would be getting a clone of Hauser regarding temperment and style of coaching (not play calling). Aloof, distant, poor communication with coaches, not connected with the student athletes, etc.
