TO: GOThunder:  Wheaton is best when they RUN and Pass! And not when they run a slow down, make 15 passes, in an half court offense, that's easy to defend!

Mr. Ypsi, you are correct. A timeout doesn't affect the run of the baseline. Once the ball is in play...then the run of the baseline is off.

Plus once you are a P-Walkon you will probably always be a P-Walkon...unless another school is interested in you.  A P-Walkon frees up another scholarship so why would they ever give you a scholarship even if you perform...you are already there.   I've actually heard that from a DI coach.

Agree with Pat and Q about P-walkons.  They aren't normally treated with the best of care.  Even pre-game meals are questionable.  Maybe one pair of shoes.  etc etc etc.

Regarding IWU ever playing ISU.  Won't happen as along as Jank is there.  ISU's pre-conference schedule is not much stronger than the CCIW.  In fact some of their opponents would probably lose a few in the CCIW.  But...it keeps ISU wins around 20 by season end:)

G.S. I'd still rather have that body closer to the rim most of the time on the offensive end too.

Well if missing the team bus for a conference game was a sign...I'd say it wasn't for a different look.

His % from the 3 was actually good...but when a big has as many 3 point shot attempts/game as rebounds/game.....that's too much time camping out downtown.  Coaches sometimes wish there was a 3 second rule for post players networking in the cheap seats.

Well he shot more 3's than Steve:)  Steve also tied him in rebounds/game.
6'5" 250...is needed a bit more in the paint!

Only game I saw him play he walked in a little late.  Bosko left without him.  Needless to say he didn't start that game.

Since I can't type, and no one has changed the subject to the CUBS....I will stay on the topic.
S.D. is a point guard and he can score.  Most great point guards that can score are kept at that position becasue the other 2 guards don't have good point guard skills. S.D. could play the 2 or 3, but the team wouldn't be as good.  The other 2 guards can't break their man down off the dribble like S.D. can.  Although I think the big kid (with the long hair) would like to play point, Bosko will leave S.D. at point:)

I know the rules...if you want a different topic then subject change the subject yourself...but my gosh...alright already on the lead guard point guard thing.  Stevie D is a guard. I think everyone can agree on that! How about those CUBS!:)

sac,  Yea and Wheaton also has a Spencer on the team, so that even makes it more confusing.
Spencer, Tim, McCrary, McCreary:)  I don't envy Coach S. getting all those names straight.  Even more amusing will be the radio play by play.  They will be better off just using their numbers and not names:)

That's the plan.  Had his 3rd surgery in 10 months on March 30th.  Dr. Cole scraped his quad tendon and some of his patella to jump start the tendonitis healing process.  He was planning on playing in Spain but 2 weeks after surgery he bumped it on the corner of a desk and split open the incision.  He's in Spain with the team but not playing.  When they get back he's scheduled to work with Chris Byers all summer.  You probably know Chris, he's good friends with Ron.  He's the best.

These 2 are Wheaton's top recruits.  Nobody around here knows too much about them since they are from the east, but they are both very very good.  They both will probably see a lot of varsity minutes and maybe even starting positions. Michael Kvam's older brother plays for Wheaton.

Michael Kvam (6-3 G, Cherokee H.S., GA) - 21.2 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 3.7 apg
Spencer McCreary (6-3 G/F, Red Lion H.S., PA) - 22.4 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 4.2 apg

Q are you and G.S. at it agian...I mean I've never heard you two disagree before:)  did ya miss me?  Of course to add to your discussion....it also would depend on who is coaching WashU.  Have there been any D3 coaches who haven't started their own son as a freshman...and that always had the green light?   I'm just asking...I'm sure someone will look it up:)   I've been busier than a ......can't say it online.   Still look forward to meeting you next season Greg...and seeing you again too Bob.
