Wow, 26-6 thats a rough outing for Oneonta just wonder if thats a sign of things to come for that program. Only time will tell. New paltz taking 1 from # 9 Salisbury was a good win for them. Brockport kept its hot start rolling picking up 2 wins from St. Josephs (LI) 13-2, 11-3 from a look at the box score Brockport routed them with the help of 13 errors between the two games. Brockport has a local game with RIT this tuesday. Cortland still seems to be the powerhouse they usually are.

Senior Brockport Catcher Nick Bunce was also selected to the d3baseball.com team of the week along with Adornetto. New Paltz Pitcher Chris Chismar was selected to the team as well for his performance versus Baruch (6 IP 15k). The conference continues to bring in accolades.

Just used both teams athletic sites for the info. Guess they switched around their schedule a bit after weather postponed Saturday.  Big start for the eagles also seen chismar had quite the performance with 15ks over 6 IP vs Baruch well done Chris keep it up.

In correction to jdex Brockport picked up that win vs kean not mount st Mary. Quite the win for the eagles program. They then defeated Baruch 4-2 for a 2-0 start. New Paltz so far at least seems to just be grann and chismar for their staff but time will tell.  Be interesting to see if bports made a significant step or kean simply has a lesser team, I'm interested to see how things continue.

Looking at rosters so far Brockport seems to return a majority of offense and their ace pitcher. Cortland still holds control of the conference. I'm interesred to see if Oswegos progress will continue, also curious to see how New Paltz responds after a down year.

I do need to see him throw again crimson, Bardenett that is but he's getting the job done still. Their staff still seems to have been okay although not great. I agree with your cortland run down though those 3 will be tough. Will you be at the tournament crimson?

I dont know about plattsburgh getting the 4, I am leaning towards oswego sneaking in for the first time in years. The oswego plattsburgh series will a very big battle to determine their playoff destiny. I am curious to see if Stevens will continue to throw as well as he has for the lakers thus far. Bardenett seems to have settled in as brockports 1 as of late with some much better numbers than early in the season. Cortlands top 3 heck even 4 arms are going to be tough come tournament time but I expect another good tournament this year. I wouldnt be suprised to see oneonta go 1-5 with the six they have remaining. That may keep them out

1) cortland
2) brockport
3) Oswego
4) Plattsburgh

The word from New Paltz is another rain out today seems to be the field wasn't tarped Friday night and was poured on Saturday canceling the games for the weekend. The teams will look for an open Sunday to reschedule these two games. It should be a conference rule to tarp its crazy to lose games due to a bad decision. The weather for out there was clear most of schedule playing times according to the website I was using at least.

I attended brockports game vs fisher yesterday, both of these teams can certainly play in the regionals. Neither team played great defense but showed flashes of some very nice plays. Fishers frontline starting pitching is a little better in my mind but i think brockports depth of their startin pitching may help. Big win for the Golden Eagles to keep them on track for regionals, and as for fisher they just need to run thru that weak conference.

Just curious on where you guys are thinking the teams will finish, at least the top 4... I say 1. Cortland 2. Brockport 3.New Paltz 4. Plattsburgh. I dont see Oneonta making it this year after all the fallout there.
easy - I'm going with your picks, and I agree with you about Oneonta.
You may be able to switch Brockport and New Paltz depending on how well New Paltz' pitching staff does.  They may be good or VERY good this year.

Totally agreed with New Paltz their staff is extremely talented, just still need to see the depth around them get better. Granted last year was much improved I'd like to see the consistency  increase and I think I will. A split with Salisbury to open the season will give some confidence to a young team like that. The battle is for # 2 and # 3

coach, your entitled to your opinion just as anyone else is in this board, I am new to the boards myself. I also agree with your statement about the 2-1 or 12-11, they are both wins but when it comes down to tournament play most games arent that high scoring pitching is needed especially to win tournaments, there is a reason plattsburgh is 1-16 (quoting truthfinder im not sure myself) in the SUNYAC tournament. Also the reason their games are 12-11 is for the reason that they play The School of the Recently Deceased (again quoting truthfinder) I understand your logic in retrospect I just simply disagree with you on the statement they should be in regionals thats all.

I watched mostly 3 of the games from yesterday, and I do not understand how you can say Plattsburgh should be here, did you not see how awful their pitching staff was in the conference tournament? I give their coach credit to some extent by playing the hand he was dealt. He gets kids who throw strikes, put the ball in play, and play defense. Thats the bare minimum you need to win ball games and they do have it. I just totally disagree with the statement that they should be here, but also the oneonta farmingdale game was one of the worst displays of baseball I have ever seen so I hope you just made that statement out of utter disgust
