NCC defense dominated in what sounded like a choppy game... congrats to the Cards, and ONU on a great season and all the Northern seniors on great careers... gonna be some big shoes to fill at the skill positions next year...

I guess I'm a little confused by what I've been reading on the CCIW board. When did NCC become such a feared national power? I understand that the CCIW is a great conference but when did it become better than the OAC? ONU and NCC have split the last two years and having been on the sidelines or in the press box for both, ONU outplayed them each time. Now with ONU in the second year of new O/D systems and a senior dominated lineup, no one thinks they can repeat last years performance against a NCC team missing its preseason all american QB and RB from last season... I'm not sure how this happens...
I'm also pretty sick of hearing about the U being down this year on every other board... everyone here knows better than that, inexperienced/unable to "get up" for Marrietta and down on talent are two very different things

TIGER WITT UP!!!!! Time to show the OAC what we're made of and the selection committee that they made a serious mistake by disrespecting Wittenberg
woops... looks like a repeat of '99... only worse... when will you realize that the OAC is just that much better

Advantage Wittenberg (2010)Quote from: reality check on November 16, 2010, 11:27:18 PM
Wittenberg escapes with a 3 point win at Allegheny 20-17
Wittenberg plays a tough game at Wooster to close out the regular season (21-14 ballgame deep into 4th quarter...)
Witt escaped a close call at Oberlin and got a lucky OT win against Carnegie-Mellon. All I can say is "Carneigie-Mellon for God's Sake"
I think we can all agree that the NCAC/Witt's schedule is a complete joke...
Advantage p bears...
With an OAC schedule and a WIAC non-conference game the bears are battle tested and should be ready to go this weekend... the thing that scares me is that Northern tends to not show up at least once a year... I would like to think that the no show already came this year in Alliance but I tend to think that other factors (like The U's d) were involved but who knows...

Congrats to everyone who earned a playoff berth... Been reading for about six years but have yet to post... ONU alumn and former coach who's just happy to see the p bears in the playoffs
Mount should be cake walking to Salem and Northern got a brutal bracket
I don't think Witt will cause much trouble and I think everyone forgets that ONU handled an NCC team with three or four preseason all americans last year
As for the bears defense, not as much pass rush and attack as in previous years but more of a bend and not break attitude and an extremely deep, talented, experienced, opportunistic secondary
