Some conferences go from bottom up, some go from top down.  The CAC just happens to go from top to bottom.
Just makes Wednesday's game between Mary Washington @ Marymount that more important.

In the case of a tie, it goes head-to-head first.  If a tie-breaker cannot be determined from that, it then goes to record against conference opponents not involved in the tie from top to bottom.  If both Mary Washington and Christopher Newport win out, Mary Washington should be the #1 seed as they would have swept Marymount and Christopher Newport went 1-1 against them.
