Am expecting a much tougher game from St. John's than Falcons got from Chapman.Falcons will have to play at the level they did last Saturday to avoid a loss.I think the last game between RF and the Johnnies was a 17-14 last minute Falcon loss at SJU in 2013.

Unfortunately, the seating accommodations at Ramer Field are really bad because rental bleachers are in place in preparation for future replacement. They are inadequate in length and barely rise high enough to see over the players even at the top level.I wondered a few weeks ago when it became known that UWRF would be a host school whether the bleacher situation would prevent hosting.

Regardless, I look forward to seeing a large crowd of Johnnie fans December 6.

RF wins a no turnover game on a snowy, blustery day. Blaha sits most of 4th quarter as Fitzgerald comes in and tosses two passes in his 2 first plays, the second for a TD.That's what you call depth. No team I'd rather see us beat than St. John's. IT WILL HAPPEN NEXT SATURDAY.

I'm not a Lax fan but have reason to folow them. Jacob Butler transferred there from RF and a friend has a freshman son, Carter Wollan, who's played a little in two games. I'll substitute until somebody more qualified takes over.

RF over CU by 21 seems conservative, but safe. Agree that size and speed advantage go to Falcons. Also realize comparative scores, conference strength based predictions are shaky.

Watched Chapman beat Whitworth 18 -16.They are disciplined, have several capable players and are strong offensively and defensively. They will be hard to beat but RF should win. CU does not play WIAC level opposition, have not faced anybody like Blaha, and have only one player 300+ pounds.

Looks like SJU has a challenge in Monmouth. They lost only to Wartburg in a close one, then beat the crap out of everybody else.

If RF wins first game and SJU topples Monmouth, it's Johnies at Falcons.

NCC2010--Maloney is a freshman and primarily a passer. And he's comparable to Blaha? Tough to believe. And unless I missed something, MU has one sophomore qb and all the rest are freshmen. Also tough to believe.

BDB--Sorry I missed your post and did not see you and Stout Guy. Stout made things really tough on the Falcons.

What kind of qb is Maloney? Dual threat or stronger runner than passer? Or vice versa?

Falcons lose to  Carleton 81-76 despite not having services of Wangulu, their leading scorer, out with a sprained ankle.RF started 2 freshmen and were led by Leifker with 17, Thompson with 15 and Postel with 18. RF shot 49%, Knights 46% but also with 10/27 threes @37%. Engelberg and Drake led Knights with 32, 24 respectively.

Emma, almost every attempted run up the middle was stopped by the Falcon D. Their Dline outplayed the WW Oline decisively. As it was, time of possession was slightly in favor of WW. Had they kept the ball on the ground, they might have given it up sooner and given UWRF more opportunities. I'm going with improved Falcon D.

Emma got the dominance part right, but the wrong team! That's ok. I didn't see it coming either :)

Cant figure out why WW offense, except for obvious difference in QB play, was so ineffective vs RF D, ranked low in conference stats. Improvement I guess.

Just hope win vs WW does not affect play vs Lax next week! Easy to play poorly following big win!
