Palum--Pville at RF 9/27 will be a good one. RF will need to get better on D in order to win it. Falcons could not stop either Alma or Coe. Both have very strong offenses.

Falcons run 92 plays, Coe 70 something in 59-47 win over a good Coe team. Kaleb Blaha rushed for 234 yds, passed for 335 and had a hand in 7 td's. Was WIAC player of the week last week. Will not repeat even though he played better today.

As you may have seen, RF over a good Alma team 45-33. Blaha held in check running but passed for 5 td's, on 28/47 completions and a 161 qb rating, as I remember

Right on all counts, Emma, Bleed. Also, key games with contenders are home games: La Crosse, WW, Platteville. Schedule opens with Alma, Coe in RF.

Two things to consider, regardless of their worth: Coach Walker saying online recently that "on paper" this year's team is the best he's ever brought back. And, Kaleb Blaha picked as pre-season 1st team all american. 159 candidates out for football at first practice.

Paulding--Think you're right. Coach B. gave Falcon starters frequent rests. For almost the entire last five minutes of the first half, no Falcon starters were on the floor and the reserves did not lose any advantage. The 14-6 margin in o.t.was despite 5 missed free throws.

Falcons played their best game so far in downing EC, at EC. Huschka is very good at 6'7", and quick, for EC. Both teams played well and hard. Interesting matchup as the brothers Renta went at it hard. Mateo shut his brother Andre down, stuck to him like a leach, holding him to 7. Coach B. may have started Mateo, who ordinarily plays much less than he did Saturday, but I didn't watch until second half. At any rate, it was good strategy and good entertainment for Falcon fans. Already looking forward to EC at RF in second round.
The next two games, at home Wednesday and Saturday vs Point and Platteville, will go a long way to show what RF really has.

RF over Osh 28-14 in convincing fashion. Don't know if that gets them another game.

Falcons lose to a respectable Macalester team with two good guards and a couple of burly inside players who
got in foul trouble early. Mac shot 64% from 3 range and 54% overall to race out to a 15-3 lead and 15 point edge later. Second half was much better for Falcons but too late. RF could not shoot free throws and got caught flat footed three times as Scots scored 3 long pass/easy layups after made free throws.
It was a 6 turnover game for both teams. Leifker played well w/22 pts, 7 rebounds.

Big Mark-- I have been a Falcon fan since 1943, when I was 10. So the last 3 years have been fun.We have come close to winning several times, including last year when we led until late. I think we have a good chance tomorrow, but we'll have to keep penalties and turnovers to a minimum and keep the WW running game in check. I was a dorm director at UWW in the 60's when Perkins was coach and l was there when the stadium was built.

Thanks for details on Oshkosh, Paulding. Rebounding was one key disadvantage for RF. Crowl too much for Falcons to overcome.

Final score 78-62, Badgers. RF very competitive. Bodes well for the season.
