Ashiro is a very good qb. Had he had more time to throw 2day he would have been a lot more successful. He ran effectively, is very elusive, and was the only successful Oshkosh runner. And had Oshkosh not racked up 100 yards in penalties, often spoiling drives, they would have won.Credit the very good RF D for often stopping the Oshkosh running attack, forcing Ashiru to go deep. Also credit RF special teams. They were a huge factor.

Tommy Novotney clearly the difference today. RF had nobody to match him: quicker, faster, more elusive than any other back on the field.I saw how much we miss Blaha today for the first time.D contained Novotney better second half.
Soft WW schedule for made zero difference, altho I thought it would.

I think McDevett will start vs Oshkosh next week.

I doubt anyone gets thru conference unbeaten.Falcons likely to play Fitzgerald at QB. He was very good vs Wartburg.

What size crowd will attend the RF game? Somebody estimated 21K online. That seems beyond possibility, or isn't it?

Is WW playing a bunch of pushovers because they couldn't schedule anyone else? Seems like a poor way to prepare for conference play. Their next opponent, Keystone, lost to Southern Virginia, 38 - 14. SV, 73 - 7 losers to RF, is in same conference as Keystone.

Of course, comparative scores may mean nothing.

Nobody was ever touting the ARC as being better than the WIAC, so I think we're probably OK there.

RF over Coe 38-6. D better than I expected.No touchdowns allowed. McDevitt may (probably) got injured in 2nd Q.His injury was not noticed by announcers or by me except that he got up slowly after being tackled, played another play or two, and left. Did not return.Did not see him on field after he left game. Fitzgerald took over and did well.

Coe qb, most valuable player in ARC conference last year, was ineffective.
