D3Fanboy, BDB--Walker was talking about winning the national championship, but he also said to me recently RF could could win it all or be 5 - 5.

The lack of $ coaching in D3 is mitigated by income from his camps, estimated by a retired UWRF coach to be equal to his salary. RF will not get the break of so many home games during the playoffs and will not have a favorable WIAC home schedule either.

Greek--Did Point up their D effort 2nd half? Or, did RF just start missing from long range?

Thanks, BW.

Coach Walker thinks Falcons can repeat next year, but missing two transferring offensive stalwarts plus  Blaha will not not make it easier. Also, Walker admitted on KFAN interview yesterday that he has received offers to coach other places (not specified). Not surprising.

All your kind comments MUCH APPRECIATED! I did not feel comfortable until under 2 minutes left. No better human being than Coach Walker, a deserving winner. Yes, JOHNNIE'S BAR is the best! I tried to get some real Johnnies to go there a few years ago when St. John's last played in RF, but was unsuccessful.

Don't know what difference it makes, if any, but Kaleb Blaha won the Gagliardi Award. He got almost 70% of the votes. The Curry College running back got second place.

St. Paul Pioneer Press, Charley Walters column, said today it is expected that Kaleb Blaha will get a free agent tryout with the Vikings.Coach Walker has said several NFL teams have expressed interest in Blaha

Congrats to Quinn Minerz.

Thanks all you posters who congratulated UWRF. Much appreciated. Will have to step up another couple of notches to beat NCC. We will not be favored.

Blaha is in his 6th year, not his 5th as I have previously argued. Not that it really matters. But Dr. Blaha?

Pat, are there any Centennial League posters?

BDB's post of the Twin Cities video (50 minutes long) shows Walker and 5 players. The players fall all over themselves praising each other. Walker praises everybody from the water boy to the AD. It all seems very sincere.

sju56321--Would really like to see SJU appear on UWRF schedule yearly. Short trip, tough non-conference game for both. Coach Walker told me he tried to get that going after last regular season game between the two, but SJU wouldn't/couldn't agree.

Really appreciate encouragement BW, Assassin, Mitch Hall, Emma, USee, Cubs! What rarified air I'm breatheing! The J. Morrison quote certainly applies, BW.

R.O.R. and Mitch--thanks! The weather may hold scoring down today but home field and a healthy Blaha should do it for the Falcons. Don't think it will be easy.

BW--What does the margin have to be in order to qualify as a "monkey stomp"? At least 21 points, I would  guess.

I wonder whether the UWRF AD or Coach Walker have had any calls from parents concerned about frostbite Saturday.

BDB--Haven't decided whether to attend game or watch from Johnnies Bar. My forecast says 0 degrees high but negligible wind. So if I "dress warm" it may be enough.

Quote from: cubs on December 06, 2025, 02:03:42 PMNot to be outdone, Platteville making some mistakes of their own. After jumping out to a quick 10-0 lead, though one could argue it could be more after settling for a FG despite having 1st and Goal from the one yard line. That defensive stop seemed to shift the momentum, as Bethel went down and scored to make it a 10-7 game. The Pioneers then put a drive together but throw an INT at the two yard line on 2nd Down. Platteville seems to answer with an INT of their own but a roughing the passer penalty wipes it out and Bethel scores after the second chance to take a 14-10 lead.
Platteville in position to score before the half with another 1st and Goal inside the Bethel 10 yard line and promptly turns it over on a sack/fumble with under 20 remaining.

Thanks for the recap. I was at the Wisconsin-Marquette game so I could only check the scores now and then. Congratulations to River Falls on your big win today. They will be hosting Wheaton which has been somewhat of a surprise this playoff season.

Thanks, Palum.
