I strongly suggest that SJU get the elephat out the stadium. It is very evident that their is an elephant on the fiekd and in the stadium. Gags doesn't even stay on the field. Today's game he was out for the 1st half and never returned after that. Many of the alumni where checking the box to see if he was there, but they couldn't find old Gags, even Joe Peterno stays on the field and lets his players know that he is in charge.
OMG Jimmy took over and the game went to hell. The defense sucked and the offense wasn't any better. The quarter back is too short to see over the guys and they kept running the same old play up the middle even though Bethel made it clear that they weren't going to allow any running through the middle.
SJU has recruited some great guys they just aren't being given a chance to play. The QB from Totino Grace id 6'5" and he has a great arm, let's not forget he took his team to the state championship 2xs. Then there are the youngmen from DeLaSalle who also took their team to the state championship. I only named these two schools because I actually watched these guys play for several years while working for the MSHSL, I'm sure there are others that can step up and do a far better job than what we are seeing. Unfortunately many of these guys want get to actually play until they are So. or Jr.
Gags is a wonderful man and I wish him he best, but the Johnnies deserve a fulltime coach that can be there 100% of the time. Think about it, if the Packers coach spent the entire game in the booth or simply missing in action we would see him again. If we don't act quick many o hese youngmen will ge recriuted by the likes of UST and th the Auggies.
