Thanks for the explanation Monrovia.

But that being the case, it sure seems like someone's off their nut somewhere when
the #2 team in the nation is #3 in their own region and the #1 team isn't even in that region.

Not saying anybody got hosed here, but you'd think think they could be more consistent than that.

Anyway, go Cats!
Have you sen their stadium? If both teams are unbeaten, and quarters or semis come around, it's about the Benjamin's. Their student body is huge and will be out in force.

ADvantage 'Catdome = 'Cats Win!!! Linfield flips script in second half to bounce the Boxers 28-22.

side note: I should have added visitor's locker room to my "Ugly" list for Pacific.  Hands down the worst in the conference.

NWC Visitor's locker room ranking:

1. PLU (great area for a large roster to get ready, private, and right on the field. Perfect)
2. Whitworth (The field house is never private but you can't complain about space and it's a nice walk to the Pine Bowl)
3. Willamette (moved out to baseball field a few years ago and it's much better. A little dank but at least it's private and players have space)
4. UPS (moved it around over the years.  OK. Have some space but not great)
5. L&C (Cramped and it's like you're on skates on that tile floor)
6. Pacific (Brutal with 80% of the team having to get dressed in a tight hallway. Pacific students (male/female) are walking around the complex while players are dressing)
Where does Linfield's visiting locker room rank?

Wow, UWW will have to beat the best team in the country (Linfield) just to get out of the region. Very tough region.

Of all the predictions I've read this past week, I don't think anyone predicted these placements of the #1 and #2 team in each region.

UWW wouldn't have to play the supposed Number 1 (Mount) until Salem. Linfield, the supposed Number 2 looked very vulnerable yesterday.
do you think we would show you ALL of our plays Mrjedi?

You don't have to. I'm pretty sure 02 has watched every one of your games, attended your practices, had dinner with the coach, and signed up for next year's Wildcat cheerleading squad. Believe me, we know all about you.  ;)
WW may have Masterjedi, but Linfield has Yoder!

Very strange looking bracket matchups....does this mean the winner of the the Cat/Lute game has to travel East for the second round?  If so, you gotta be kidding.
no I think they travel to us if we win if PLU wins I guess it depends on who wins the other game....
Gonna party like its 1999!
How about 2004 instead!

It seems like the Cats keeping winning in subtle and sundry ways...the score sort of just sneaks up on you and suddenly it's 51-14 or something like that.
agree! There seems to be vast room for improvement, even in a blowout. Mostly on the offensive side in my view... Runs for loss, dropped passes. The line on Hill in the Witworth game after the first scoring drive was something like -12 yards and a TD.

Heads up for any PLU fans coming down to Salem this weekend: in addition to the new turf, there's one other significant change that was made at McCulloch Stadium this summer.  Seating for visiting fans has been moved to the far end of the grandstand, or the third stairwell up to the stands.  What used to be visitor's seating (the near end of the grandstand) is now the student section.

Should be a fun one on Saturday!
visitors stands are where the visitors sit... I like it between the 40's, any general seating there? If not, may have to buy a ticket!
