Ziggy,
I agree with you, but if we did send a broadcasting crew they would give the Hope players a little more credit.  Adrian wasn't some team that pulled off 3 upsets to get to this game.  They are a legitimate team who deserved to be in this game.

very disappointing finish with all the turnovers and miss Ft's, can't ask for much more then a chance for the win at the end regulation.  great season for the bulldogs.  With everyone coming back next year, we should be back in this position with hopefully home court advantage.

On a side note- Tough listening to the arrogant Hope announcers though.

Good luck to the bulldogs today.  Let's hope we get the same results we did in 2001 and 2004.

Still a little disappointing that not all 8 teams get in the tourney.  The MIAA should take a look at what the OAC does.  IMO, this is how I think would play out

1st Round - Monday, Feb. 20
    #8(olivet) at #5 (Albion)
     #7 Kzoo at #6 Alma
Quarterfinals - Tuesday, Feb. 21
#6-7 (alma) Winner at #3 Trine
    #5-8 (albion)Winner at #4 Calvin
Semifinals - Thursday, Feb. 23
   #4-5-8 Winner (albion) #1 Hope
#3-6-7 Winner (alma) at #2 Adrian
Finals saturday, Feb 25
At the highest remaining seed
We would still get an Adrian Hope final.  Who would be against that tourney if it could happen?
I think Alma is playing like the 3rd best team in the conference right and there season is over.

what happens if Adrian, Calvin, Albion and Trine all finish 8-6.

Should be a sell out tonight in Adrian.  This is going to be a back and worth game with Adrian pulling away at the end.  Bulldogs by 4

Good win for the bulldogs tonight.  If they are going to pull the upset on Wednesday vs.Hope, Richaud Pack is going to need to play more than 18 minutes.  I get it that he just joined the team at semester but it is time for him to get 30-35 minutes a game.

Bulldogs going for 4 straight wins against Calvin.  Basketball is a game of match ups and for reason Adrian is a tough match for Calvin of late.  I see Adrian winning by 6 on the road today.

Also the 2000-2001 bulldogs were a 6 seed in the MIAA tournament and beat Albion in the 1st round and then beat Hope in the semi's and then lost to the defending national champs in the finals in a 10 point game. Let all the teams make the tourney.

Tough lose for the bulldogs yesterday.  Thought this team was past losing that type of game.  Could be a game that cost them a chance to play in the MIAA tournament.  Hopefully they can bounce back on Saturday at Kzoo.

After watching Hope play Alma at Alma, I had a feeling Alma would beat someone unexpectedly along the way, but never dreamed it would be Adrian.  Were you able to watch the game?  If so, what was it that Alma did that won it for them?

Yes I watched the game and Alma just kept making plays down the stretch. Adrian cut the lead to 2 with 1:30 left and could not get any closer.  Alma hit 2 big 3 pointers that put the game away.  I would surprised if Adrian didn't win by 15 next time they played

I wish the MIAA kept track of total 3 point shots made.  Cory Schneider has 161 right now, I would think that could be close to making a top 10 if the league had one.

Steve Brooks made 253.
Mo Brookens made 230.
Andy Draayer made 221.
Brian Schaefer made 217.
Caleb Veldhouse made 215.
Wes Weir made 210.

Here are the stats from the Adrian Page.  Need to add Todd Wesche, Ben Taylor, Mike Riley and Dan Walter.  And Brian Schaefer had 227 not 217.
I hope this helps
