Ive chimed in on my feelings about the Fisher QB situation more than enough.
I would like to change the subject, and focus on this SatErday.
The Fisher UC game is one that really has me scratching my head.
This is a feather in the cap game for Blaise, and he is going to have his boys fired up.
Fisher is coming in to this game limping, heads down and it worries me that they may be flat.
An ECAC nod could come to the winner so I really hope that it is a good game.
This is the only Fisher game Ill hit this season and Im really hoping for a V!

I brought up the fisher QB situation with coach, he just kinda avoided the issue altogether....

However he did say that if they can bottle up the run and make fisher feel like they have to throw to stay in the game, it would go a very, very long way for Utica, and i tend to agree.

Fisher's played great defense all year, and they're going to have to do so again to give Kramer and that offense a chance to score enough points to keep up.

UC 24, Alfred 7.

Saxons in some real deep trouble.

Saxon Run game only has 45 yards....

Utica with their most impressive performance by far. Suddenly, the Pioneers look like they could shock the conference. I mean, why couldn't they win some 35-34 kind of game over the Gulls? This isn't 2011. Salisbury's not winning every conference game by three or four touchdowns. Aside from Ithaca, Alfred and Fisher both had good chances to beat them. The conference is there for the taking if the Pioneers come to play

Alfred isint helping themselves either. They just got flagged for roughing the passer at the UC 18. they would have had quality field position, but they blew it and now UC is driving across midfield.

As far as UC-Salisbury is concerned, i know how UC's defense played last year in that game, but remember, at the start of the third quarter, UC led 42-35 over the gulls.

With the defensive improvement, along with the emergence of the run game for UC, we could be looking at a very, very tight ballgame.

Andrew Benkwitt just surpassed the 10,000 yard mark for his career.

Touchdown Utica. Benkwitt to Murphy. 14-0 up on Alfred.

Interception from Alfred's backup QB. Shawn Mitchell picked it off. UC in business, 7-0 and looking like they could come up with more.

TOUCHDOWN IC!!!!!

Big pass play for a long TD with 31 seconds left.

I'm running board for our game and i'm like, freaking out.

Btw,

36 yard TD Strike from Benkwitt to Meier has UC up on Alfred, 7-0.

Dwyer, Beckwith, and Sopak all still out for Alfred.

Alfred Skill position guys dropping like flies.

Dwyer, Beckwith, and Sopak all hurt in the first quarter.

Both Utica and Alfred have missed a FG. 0-0 ballgame.

Moose,
A bunch of Fisher faithful will be on hand this year for the UC game.
We tailgate like champs and then go watch the game.
tho the visiting stands suck........
Lets hope for decent weather!

That's definitely the way to do it right there! I'm on like, a half hour before game time more or less.

By the way, They've talked about replacing those in the next couple of years. I hope it happens because the ones they have now are dreadful.

dlip Im glad you had some fun up in this neck of the woods!!!!
+k for a visitor to NH!!

Amen to that!
I'm a UC Student who lives in Utica full-time.

Also, FisherAlum, i'm scheduled on the call for the UC-Fisher Game. Just an FYI.

I am unsure if both teams pay-in or not, i think that arrangement is exclusively handled by the home team. I will do some asking around.

That said, it might still have to do a bit with viewership because it helps TWCS make even more money, but at the end of the day, the school that books them and pays that price typically gets their wish.

TWCS's decision to do the UC-Buff State game does not have as much to do with viewership as you might think.

In fact, Utica will not even see the game until Noon sunday on replay. We are lumped in with the Syracuse Area here. They have a Big East contract and subsequently, they're going to get the most mileage they can out of that. There's a USF game on instead.

The thing is, viewership really does not drive the bus when TWCS does these D3 games. In fact, Buff State is likely paying a very, very hefty sum of money for this game to be televised. Although i am unsure of the amount, we do pay for that in Utica as well.  If you're a d3 school who is willing to pay their price, and TWCS has an opening, they'll entertain the idea.
