Concerning LC: The college has launched a capital campaign with the goal of raising $50 million. In that $50 million there is money earmarked for completion of the stadium. However, it is money that must be raised and not a gift from the LBC. At its annual meeting in November, the LBC voted to allow LC to make direct appeals to the churches of the LBC specifically for $12 million which is part of the $50 million total. The $12 million is designated for renovation and repair of campus housing/infrastructure.
To recap in an effort to make more clear: $38 million of the $50 million, which must be raised, is for various campus projects which will include new housing, renovation of the basketball facility, completion of the stadium, etc... $12 million of the $50 million is specifically for repair/remodeling of campus housing. Per a vote at the LBC annual meeting, LC is allowed to make direct appeals to the churches of the LBC in an effort to raise the $12 million.
I hope this helps, but if it is still about as clear as mud, I do understand. : )

Is there confidence that at least the 12 million will be raised soon?
Thank you Mr. Boggs. I knew that it was something a long those lines, just wasn't sure on all the details. As far as the 12 million, the Town Talk quoted some church leaders around the Baton Rouge/New Orleans area, and they seemed eager to help any way they could. So, i really hope the 12 million will be raised very soon.

January 24, 2013, 05:01:56 PMQuote from: crufootball on January 23, 2013, 08:18:40 PMWell I know the main project is to remodel the dorms, especially the women's, as they are upwards up 70 years old I believe I read somewhere-(maybe Mr. Boggs could give more accurate info.) However, I also recall reading that a portion of the money would go to building locker rooms for both Home and Visiting teams, as well as restrooms, etc. for Wildcat Stadium.Quote from: LaCollegeFan on January 23, 2013, 02:26:56 PM
Speaking of stadiums, LC will be receiving 55 million (i think) from the LBCA for various projects around the campus. Going to be interesting to see how much of that goes toward the completion of Wildcat Stadium.
Wow that sounds like great news for the school. Is there a reason for the generous gift?

LaCollegeFan,
From my understanding the capital campaign is seeking to raise $50 million for a variety of campus projects and will included completion of the football facilities. However, there has yet to be an official announcement as such. LC received permission from the Louisiana Baptist Convention last week at the convention's Annual Meeting to directly approach LBC churches in an effort to raise $12 million (which is part of the overall $50 million) that will be dedicated to renovating and upgrading student housing.
Yeah that is what I was referring to. I wasn't 100% sure on the exact dollar amounts, but I know it is suppose to be happening pretty quick.

I know LC just received approval for 5 Million (I think) from the Louisiana Baptist Association to remodel the dorms at LC, which is the number one thing on LCs list. I know for a fact though, the administration is looking, in the near future, to add quite a few things to the athletics. For example, I know a visitor's locker room, an athletic building, permenant restrooms, etc. are all suppose to get started in the near future. As for the TT, a lot of people in CenLa refer to the paper as The Clown Talk, so I wouldn't pay much attention to that.

Extremely proud of LC and everything they have accomplished this year. Thanks to all the UMHB fans there as they welcomed us with open arms and we're extremely nice to us our entire time in Belton.
If UMHB plays like they did Saturday for the rest of the playoffs, there is not a team in this country (not even MU) that will be able to score enough points to keep up. Only thing that worries me is the QB play- with Bailey they were unstoppable, but with the back up in- not even close. I will be cheering on the Cru and really hope they can bring home the title back to the ASC.
Did Bailey get injured or are you saying that if something happens you would be concerned about the level of play from the backup?
Both. He got hit pretty hard and left for one drive. The back-up had a lot of trouble getting the play in on time- causing a delay of game penalty, fumbled a snap, and they just couldn't really seem to get going with him- Bailey returned the very next drive and they scored in 3 or 4 plays. I think Bailey was okay, probably got the wind knocked out of him or something- nothing serious. Now if Bailey was to get hurt... I would really be worried.

LaCollegeFan,
If you need a good rout to Belton, let me know. I've been driving regularily to Central Texas from Pineville for 6+ years and have found what I think is the best way to go. We're heading out on Friday as well.
If you don't mind, it would be appreciated!

Mr. Bishop- The bottom line is this- not one single person on this board has any part of deciding the playoffs/tie-breakers. All D3.com and the users on here can do is inform you of the tie-breaker rules and move on. So bashing people on here is doing nothing but waste everyone's time. I understand that you are upset, as i'm sure many other fans just like you are/would be, but getting on this site and demanding answers is a negative reflection of yourself, and frankly of the school you are defending. As stated in the podcast last night, the committee members read the comments us fans put on this site. Ever stop to think maybe they could form a negative opinion about your school? (not saying they would, just offering an opinion). Like i said I get that you are upset, but life is to short to spend it bashing random fans that have no dog in the hunt.
