Quote from: UMHB03 on October 11, 2025, 04:20:41 PMA loss today certainly would not have surprised me at all, but the fact that they didn't even show and compete with any semblance of pride is shocking. And appalling.

At this point, is there any argument for brining Harmon back next year? I know D3 is not as cut throat as D1, but he has quickly destroyed everything that Fredenberg spent 20+ years building, and turned a once proud powerhouse into a master class in mediocrity in less than 4 years.

Embarrassing. Should make a statement and fire him middle of the season

Program has come full circle. I was there for the first year of Cru football, at least back then you knew it wasn't acceptable and they worked to change it

Went back to the UMHB website, where I pulled up the live game feed, without issues. Now it. Brings up a HSU vs UMHB soccer game. Live stats brings up the UWW game...

Anyone else seeing this? This would be embarrassing if intentional. What a turd of a game for us

Quote from: umhbalum on September 27, 2025, 01:45:56 PMNo UMHB live stream?

We haven't sent our guys on the road to broadcast a game in years.  Gotta watch it on flosports through Mars Hill's broadcast.

Sorry, meant to say no live stream of the UMHB game? I want to say normally they link the opponents broadcast but maybe I'm wrong. Didn't see it on the Mars Hill site I will look again

Quote from: CruFrenzy on September 21, 2025, 10:20:35 PMI am not in complete panic mode, personally. I'm not happy with how we looked Saturday but I still think this is our best roster in a while, so I'm optimistic we can learn from that performance.

Defense was on the field the entire game and got warn down, but also must have had 9 guys on and off the field with injuries, that doesn't help.

Offense is clearly the bigger issue. When the QB made a decent throw we'd drop a walk in touch down, when receivers did play well QB was missing them. Just not cohesive in any way on offense. Kind of wonder if we open up the QB battle and see what the other guys (Mouser and Horton) have got. Nothing to lose this week against a D2 opponent, doesn't help or hurt our playoff standing.

I would say that I would make it clear that nobody's starting position is set in stone. Definitely open up the QB competition and do we have any younger WR's we should take a look at closer?

Good game Cru! Got a little too conservative too early on offense in my opinion in the 4th but it worked out .

Congrats JHU and good luck next week.

Congrats to the Cru on a great season, definitely need to see some changes going into next year with the Offensive Coordinator at minimum. I give credit to the players and Harmon for what they did to finish the year strong, felt more like the Cru of the past, and not just talking about Wins/Losses

welp...

Going to have to open up the offense now... which probably plays into JHU's hands.

They definitely found a mismatch with number 88

What's the issue?

Congrats Cru!

Congrats to Linfield on a great season!

Man I was worried about that 1st and 10 on our own half yard line.... We got lucky, shocked we would run the same short yardage run that always seems to get stuffed

Well tomorrow should be interesting game for the Cru. I wonder what play we will run over and over on 3rd and short?

Quote from: Ron Boerger on December 02, 2024, 05:50:32 PMPossibly of interest to some:  Sul Ross HC Barry Derickson (11-20 in three seasons, including 3-8 in the school's first official D2 season) announced his resignation today.  Did not say what his plans were but noted "I would like to thank my family and friends for supporting me from so very far away" so possibly just wants to get out of the armpit of West Texas.

I would call Alpine remote, but not an armpit. It's a beautiful area. Big Bend to the south, the Davis mountains to the north, and quintessential W Texas Marfa to the west. Plenty of entertainment for such a small town. It's a fun place to visit IMO.

From an adults point of view, especially if you enjoy the outdoors, I can see your perspective... and would agree.

My college days, I'm not so sure I would have picked Alpine for the college nightlife experience lol.

Heck, my first year of college in Abilene it felt most people left on the weekend to either Lubbock, DFW, or Central Texas area.
