Read These Are The Times... on JohnnieFootball.com

Nice piece Section.

Aryton Scott, the Augsburg QB that I noted after the scrimmage here with Stout in August appears to be the real deal in the regular season as well. Anybody that loves football should go watch Augsburg just to see this player. He is fun to watch play the game.

What's the deal with the CAT???

St. Thomas gets 12 sacks today, Matt O'Connell runs for 149 yards rushing and I think Brenton Braddock, the freshman running back out of Mahtomedi and Dominic Truoccolo, the freshman full back out of San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius, are emerging as the number one backs.

Un-freaking-believable!!!!!

Great back shoulder throw to Hillbrands for TD.

Great play call, running Hallstrom in motion across formation and then throwing to him in the flat. He also had a one handed grab in traffic earlier in the drive.

Bethel 15 - Cobbers 14 FINAL
If St. Thomas can hang on to the ball next week, I don't see them having to much trouble with Bethel.  Not at all impressed with Bethel - way overrated at #10.

Not buying this. Concordia impressed me today. This was a battle between two quality teams. Both had great D's, excellent LB's, big plays on both sides.

I for one think all three deserve to be in the playoffs, but that probably will not happen.

That finish reminded me a little bit of the finish in Northfield a few years back SJU vs. Carleton.

SJU is 0-4 in MIAC play for only 2nd time ever....not since 1929.  Roney is dusting off his resume

UST will have its hands FULL with Bethel, Cord and Aug. Next Sat will be a Battle! UST's rush defense is its strong point but will be severly challenged in those 3 games

From what I have seen, I am not one bit worried about the UST run game over the next three games.  I am only worried about silly penalties and turnovers.  Maybe and just maybe, I would be concerned with Concordia's running game against UST run defense.  I think the UST vs. Concordia will decide the conference as Bethl will down against Augsburg.

Disagree...I think Concordia is a solid team...Auggies could also give UST a handful

I think you might be correct.  St. Thomas is playing way too many freshman.  Tailback - fullback - wide outs were all freshman for a majority of the second half.

But the defense is absolutely destroying Gustavus offense for the majority of the game.  Gustavus, leading the MIAC in rushing, at one time had 30 carries for about 14 yards.
