Austin White sure is a passionate player, but there are clips of him tonight that are just stupid.
Check out @Kabutey23's Tweet: https://twitter.com/Kabutey23/status/1073737741890973701?s=09
There was another of him hitting a players helmet into the ground after the play. I thought he was just a player that plays to the whistle, but I don't like this.

Yeah... I don't want to defend this type of behavior but it might have been retaliation. I saw dirty stuff from UMHB all night. very chippy game on both sides.

To preface this: yes both teams were very chippy, and jawing is always gonna happen. That said, I want to address that I don't think this was in retaliation, because it happened on the 2nd or 3rd play of the game.

Regardless, what a game, and what a team in Mount Union. Congratulations on a great season, I know we will most likely see y'all next year. Does anyone know how Fulford is doing? I was very sad to see him go down, I hate that for anyone.

A note was left on students cars outside of mayborn today that had to deal with the UMHB football team. The note read "Pete Fredenburg and the UMHB football team are an embarrassment to central Texas,,, an embarrassment to the alumni and students of the university, and to the university itself, and should consider resigning.  At the very least he should google "sportsmanship" and memorize what it means.  I would suggest that he schedule a game with the Belton Jr. high team and see if he can score 300 points on them to set a record!!!!! THAT would make Pete proud."  The note also included a list of the score of every regular season game from this season.  The note was not signed. Personally I think that if teams didn't want that much scored on them, they need to prepare better, and it's not like UMHB leaves the starters in, but we aren't just gonna tell our 3rd string not to score. What are yalls thoughts?

I dont really post much on our home board, much less other conferences boards. But from what ive read, there has been speculation about the UMHB offense hitting a wall in the playoffs, which has not gone un-noticed by the cru fans. The reason for it however is not because we are playing "the big boys" as someone put it, but because Fred likes to get a two or three score lead in the game, then get conservative with offense and rely on our defense to win the day.

Oh, sorry -- I was given Karley Free's contact info to help set up the interview with Coach Fredenburg for Friday's podcast and I was under the mistaken impression that she led the videography. My bad.

Karley heads CruVision which is the camera crew at the stadium, but Twig is head of UMHB Videography, he basically runs film for all sports from practice to games.

Does anyone have any suggestion on where to grab a bite before the TLU/UMHB Game? The cheaper the better, seeing as I'm a broke college student haha

We always eat at Gg's Corner Cafe in Marion (About 12 mins from TLU) or at the Dixie Grille in Sequin. I'm a chicken fried steak kinda guy and Gg's is really good.

I think I'll have to make the trip to try the chicken fried steak! And Kelly, thank you for the info on whataburger. I've always found whataburger as a good post-game meal, it's where I always went after games in high school, and it's where I always went when I played for the Cru! Nothing like a Honey butter chicken biscuit and a W

I guess that's a pretty good way to start the season.  :o

We didn't see that kind of output all last year.
have we ever seen that kind of output? closest i can remember was a McM game years ago at tiger stadium.

Said on Online broadcast that it broke the previous UMHB scoring record of 84

I think that you Cru fans are making too much out of yesterday's game.

We had no offense. McM lost the entire OL in the offseason.

You beat us 9 TD's to none.

I did not want to be pessimistic before the game, but I obtusely commented that such a score (66-3) would not surprise me.

If we come back and have a 3-6 record, then I am very happy. A 4-5 record will truly excite me!

As for UMHB, the HSU game will tell us how far UMHB goes into the playoffs.

I feel like the Linfield game was a good measure of the team. No offense to Hardin Simmons but they aren't as good of a representation of UWW or Mount Union as Linfield was.
