I suppose -- but you want to have your A crew calling a Sweet 16 game, even if your school isn't playing in it.
Definitely

I got the Guiford info from Titan TV! H!ey Titan TV you did a great job on both games
I agree. Great job!
Yikes!!! The guy and the girl? You guys ara too kind to your locals. The guys that did the Augie Wheaton game were outstanding. I had to turn the audio of the Oshkosh game off....just my humble opinion.
Me too. They were awful. The announcers they had for when UWSP played at UWO during the WIAC tournament (not sure if it was the same duo or not) were brutal too.

Oh, I'm certainly not disputing his assertion that St. Thomas should've been listed as a good opponent for UWRF and UWSP. I'm simply saying that the Tommies are not really a perennial power anymore. The dictionary definition of perennial is "lasting for an indefinitely long time; enduring," and 2017-18 proved that the St. Thomas run as a power program neither lasted nor endured.
Take it from somebody who's learned this the hard way -- college basketball is a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately affair. Two national championships in the last eight years is a great thing to brag about as a fan, and an even better commodity to put in your back pocket when you're a coach on the recruiting trail, but if that's not translating into landing the personnel that'll keep you contending for more of those hunks of walnut and bronze, then it doesn't carry over. Your current status is what your record is, or was last season, not what it was in the past.
They had a lot of injuries last year and a pretty good recruiting class coming in - not sure I'd write them off just yet as a power.

I follow WIAC football more closely, but I've watched a half dozen Titan hoops games online this year. I'd like to get people's thoughts on the POY race. The Titans are the most balanced team, but do their big 3 cancel each other out in voting? I haven't see all the teams play, but Duax from Platteville is probably in the conversation. I would think the champion gets the POY, but the balance may split the votes. Here is the breakdown on the 4 players (with where they currently rank in major statistical categories):
Duax (UWP): 1st in scoring/3rd in steals
Boots (UWO): 4th in scoring/2nd in assists
Flynn (UWO): 5th in scoring/3rd in rebounding/2nd in FG %/2nd in blocks
Fravert (UWO): 9th in scoring/4th in rebounding/3rd in assists/10th in steals/1st in blocks
Boots is a SR and probably the leader of the team. Fravert is so long and athletic that he affects both ends of the court and fills up the stat sheet in every category. Flynn is a difference maker, because he provides size and post play that most teams can't match.
Thoughts?
