The best thing about the play that no one rushes, is that the O-line stayed together and did not go downfield. They must have a hell of a coach. Great discipline that will get things done. Again props to the linfield college o line coach.

What's up with the 2005, 2010 comparison? I'll take '86 all day long and into the dark, cold, muddy night.

Go cats.... CatDomeOG.

Cat fans of all shapes and sizes...... welcome to the came dome..... i was sad to read abourt the loss but this is what we can take away from this, the Linfield College Wildcats bring out the best in people. the cats bring out the best in the players that they have and also the players and coaches that they are playing. everybody wants to beat the cats. thats the sure sign that you have established something special. So this is our lot in life ..... if you want to be a 'cat you will have a target on your chest.

Bottom line.. the cats need to play some DEFENSE! scoring points is great but you gotta shut people down.  42 points should win football games. i gues ill make the quote but we all know its out there. ".....Defense wins championships...." if this is the price we pay to learn a valuble lesson.... so be it, price paid , lesson learned.... lets move on to winning the NWC and getting to the playoffs ..... the only thing that really counts in DIII football......

expect to win....i think not.... put in work to win... i think so.

Lets get back to Wildcat football.....and let the bodies hit the floor where ever they can fall.....

What up football fans!!!!
Looks like we are in for a great season of football. Hope the cats live up to the hype......

welcome to the boxers, by the way they did a bang up job recruiting hawaii. they have some good kids on the roster from the 808 state. i never knew why they had so many guys from hawaii and especially waianae on the team back in the days... but they have a counselor on staff that is from the westside....   we had some battles with the boxers back then when they had the conner boys on their team. man talk about tough, these guys were "animals". anyway getting into bluenote territory!!!

wildcat 11 - congratulations on the new addition to the wildcat nation. its great, i have 4 of them running around. i am hoping that one of my children will attend Linfield. My son got accepted this year, but is most likely not going to go. he would have played TE. But i guess he has other plans (he lives in cali. with his mother, i live in beautiful Honolulu.) But hope one of  my girls (3) will be a wildcat oneday. they all play softball. (next best thing to football, i guess)

just a little story: my wifes neice was applying to colleges and i asked her where she was going to go. she said that she narrowed it down to a couple schools but that she was leaning toward Pacific Luthern. i had to ask her what she siad and what state that school was in. she was planning on PLU, i told her that if she went there i would no longer be able to speak to her. as widcats and lutes don't mix. she went to CLU (cal Lu). oh well can't win'um all.

steel:
i think you were introduced to a very good Linfield team ('92). They had a chance to take home the rings, but came upa little short. 1992 vrs 2009, i'll take 1992. and remember that the guy calling the plays for 2009 would be playing defense for the 1992 team. if that not an advantage i don't know what is.

i really liked that '92 team i wish they would have taken it, and maybe started another championship roll --- '92 '94 '96..... that would have been cool.

anyway ... thats just my thoughts...

seems to me that what is happening all over. i must be old school, but the same guy thst gets in a street fight is that same guy you want next to you when the chips are down. masoli was creep'n, thats what made him a good qb, sneaky bugga. but he got caught, not good off the field or when running an option. think about it, you get 100 guys together and somebody will figue out some way to get into trouble. just add alcohol and a teflon conplex. and you have what you see. its happened since before facemasks went on the helmets. and it will be in that papers next week.

i'd like to ask what was it like when you went to college? what did you do? man i dont know that statutes of limitations, but i could tell some stories that would blow you away. it is what it is. college life. most don't live in reality. you just see whats in front of your face. your whole world is that little town you reside in.

bring the mud back to the catdome. lets get down and dirty.

as for masoli, he'll be back, sneaker than ever...... "Tama Leaga"

besides a season for the ducks is not a season for everyone else.

i think that locey should get the d-coordinator job. osu defense could use his input.  and their tackling is terrible. they need to get back to basics and fundamentals. these things will only come from "small" college coaches. the dI guys are too busy to teach basics. locey should go back to defense and danny should keep the oc position. the coaches at osu are in a great spot, their jobs seem secure in and environment that is very unsure. so to have stability, is worth a lot.
i heard the jay turned down the portland state top spot. so i think he will stay with osu no matter his role. that staff is soild and i am expecting great thiings from them. they need to just dominate the pac-10 and the nation. go beavers   go cats

It was great to get a chance to watch the 'cats on the internet. my brother and i watched the game on his laptop. it has been a while since we have had a wildcat fix like that so, we took ADvantage of the the tele? cast. I'm glad they are moving on. sounds like a tough one in whitewater. Oh well the Linfield has to do it the hard way to let all the D3 experts see that they belong. I'm hoping for a Wildcat Purple Raider Final. Its been some time in the making. lets hope all goes well and the cats' are at the dance.
GO CATS!!!!!!!

cat fans of all shapes and sizes - keep up the support!!!! i know from experience that the Linfield Fans are the best. It makes a huge impact when cat fans are out in number. i will always remember when we would have more fans than simon-fraiser and we were playing in canada. if that doesn't get you going....

oh well sorry....... anyway..........

Go Cats!!!!!!!!  Leave No Doubt......just thought i throw that in........

what up NWC football fans? well looks like all is well in DIII. the cats are on the hunt and salem is just a few wins away. congrats to the 'cats. i was getting worried we were looking average for a little while. But the D steps it up this year and we are in the playoffs.

one thing: looks like purple is the color of football royalty. lots of purple in the play-offs.

Hello to all the OG posters here on DIII.com. keep up the good work.

what up wildcats of all shapes, sizes and decades:

as for the loose look i think its gone, maybe intill they bring back the short shorts for the NBA. man that takes it back a ways.

here is something for discussion:

how do you guys out there rate "the streak" of the wildcats to that of say:

Mount Union  - winning 55 game in a row.

De LaSalle High School (Concord California) - winning 151 games in a row in 13 years.

i think the de la salle winning streak is the most impressive in sports history.

anyway

greetings d3 nwc posters and wildcats:

Malo Ni and Talofa from the islands.

wow, lots going on. didn't have enough time to read all the stuff i have missed, but i know you guys were keeping the flame blazing all along.

i thought the cats just got new uniforms. i think the all white outfit is the best.

a coach will have to be very bold to change the uniforms. there is some deep traditions that go with the cats uniforms. the cats had pretty much the same uniforms in the last 70's as they have now. then at some point they added white stripes to the jerseys. then they added red shading. ( i believe at each change they won a championship) then they went back to the solid white and solid purple. I think that the look they have now is a classic football look and i like it. besides it links the now with the past.

i do have a problem with the white face-masks. grey would be better.

anyways.....

i'm back..... slide-d-dog-storm .... man those were the days

Wow:
jerry and mouse move to portland. that sucks for the warriors, they were just getting some much needed continuity on the defense. oh well, guess june will have to score 80 per game.

i just ate breakfast with coach davis the other day, he made no mention of the portland state gig. the guy is in amazing shape for his age, and sharp as a tack. he did a little glimer in his eye as he recalled the day barry came to detroit. he said that offensive production moved up at that moment!!!

oh well the warrior loss is the viking gain
