One could reasonably claim Cosgrove earned it, but to suggest it is a slam dunk is a tad silly.
Wesleyan lost 30 extremely talented seniors coming into the year and I believe they obtained their first back to back NESCAC title in school history.  Either choice would not surprise me.

I believe it is not ridiculous to say Wesleyan outplayed Tufts.  I think the stats indicate Wesleyan outplayed Tufts on offense and defense.  In special teams Tufts outplayed Wesleyan.  2 out of 3 Wesleyan outplayed Tufts.  Unfortunately for Wesleyan fans, however, Tufts substantially outplayed Wesleyan in special teams.  I think we can all agree that the number one goal is to score more points than the other team with whatever it takes to win, outplayed or not.

I predict Williams will never have to move the ball consistently through the air.
Play action to TE or WR on occasion.  The rest is down hill power run game.

Here is a shoutout to Tufts' Special Teams...truly special.

I departed the Midd/Wesleyan game with about 2 min left.  I only observed one sack yielded by the Midd OL at that point and it looked like a coverage sack to me.  As for pass protection, I thought they did an outstanding job, especially considering there were three sophomores and another fist time starter. As for the run game there is plenty room for improvement.  It appeared to me that every run play to a running back (as opposed to a receiver reverse) was designed to go between the tackles.  A few more run plays designed to get the ball to running backs and go outside of the tackles and TEs may help stretch the defense and open up a better inside run game.

NFL, CFL, UFL, EFL and others to impress with good pro-day numbers.
Why not encourage NESCAC players to go to any pro day they can? They have the rest of their lives to go pro at Microsoft Office and only now to try to play pro-football?
