I saw a mock earlier that had Pomona hosting JHU, CMS, and Aurora. While I don't think it's realistic, it sure would be fun to see those teams hit a bunch of bombs out of Pomona's short right field.

How many chose not to host last year? Trinity and Endicott?

The games this weekend are being played at Azusa Pacific. They will not be a SCIAC member until 2026-2027.A little bit of good will from Azusa to their future conference.
Gray Fox, is it an above average venue for the SCIAC?
Azusa is not a great facility. Probably better than Occidental, but that's it. CMS has used it as their "home" field when available and will be moving into their brand new facility next year.

just realized Belhaven would be potentially be the 4th host in R6. R9 looks like it has 6 or 7 teams getting in. What are the chances they put 3 other R9 teams in a WashU regional?

My ETBU bracket would have Belhaven, TLU and the SCIAC of the committee's choice.
(I wonder if Belhaven might jump ETBU after the final calculations.)
Agree with this scenario. I'm just guessing there will be a couple of teams in the top 16 that did not request to be a host site. Belhaven would be a great site due to the hotels, airport, and nice stadium.

Any bracket predictions? I've got the cutoff sitting at 46 right now. ETBU should be a host. Will the NCAA go down to 25 to have PP host? I can see the NCAA sending CMS or PP to Marshall and the other to Belhaven if BU put in a host request. Not sure where Whitworth ends up.
CMS at 38 in the NPI could be a nightmare for any bracket.

Looks like ETBU should be in position to host a regional. Agree, Trinity will need 2 or 3 more wins to have a shot. Probably 4 to feel confident about their chances.

It's weird to see R10 only getting one at-large bid.

Another thing to consider is which of the potential hosts did not request hosting.
Bellhaven should get a nice bump if they hold on to beat Maryville in today's game. Could definitely be a landing spot for a couple R10 teams.

Makes sense. Then PP, CMS, Whitworth get spread out to the other regionals in 1, 5, and 7?

Do you think ETBU will be ranked high enough to host a regional?

Looks like things are starting to become a little more predictable. CMS won the SCIAC title for the first time in forever and PP took care of business. Both should be in the NCAA. If ETBU wins the ASC they should jump high enough to host. Whithworth, SCIAC winner, ETBU, and SCAC winner will likely be in Marshall. CMS or PP will travel to either R1, R5, or R7. Redlands could also sneak in by winning the SCIAC tourney. It will be tough for them with CMS having the "home field" advantage.

I'm sure the NCAA is hoping the same thing. CMS dropped to 43, so they have a long way to go. A sweep against CLU and sweeping the SCIAC might be enough to bump them to the top 20. PP could possibly have the same type of run against Oxy and the SCIAC.
An LA regional certainly makes things easier for Region X teams.

The SCIAC champ would also be another potential for an ETBU regional. It looks like there will be a heavy concentration of hosts in a few regions.

With a couple weeks to go, looking like Region X will get 4 or possibly 5 teams in this year. ETBU looks like the only possible host team as of now. What are everyone else's thoughts?
