Question for the Mount historians, when is the last time ya'll lost a regular season out of conference game, the 90s?

Only watched the first half, but Hiram had some success with some longer passes. Hiram is bad but Heidelberg is also not that great either, so I am not surprised we gave up that much. I remember looking at the box score close to half time and Hiram had like more than double the yards compared to the Berg yet the score was 30-7

Yeah i was watching both games side by side till halftime, then had to leave so missed most of the second halves

Marietta's defense still looks great, Westminiter went nowhere until like their last drive of the first half, I have them as the #2 OAC team this year
Breaks me to have to pay to watch my OAC games, got the subscription 5 minutes before kickoff

Man 20 bucks a month is a bit pricey too when it used to be free 😭 i figured it was coming but had hoped not. The days of watching different d3 games from different conferences at the same time is waning away, at least for free

The games in Salem when Mount played had like 3K in attendance. A lot easier to drive there from Alliance versus Texas. Having to get plane tickets and hotel room for a far destination is a big ask from a level of football who's each teams fanbases are pretty small, and college enrollment is rarely over a few thousand. Being late on Sunday night also makes it hard for those who work on Monday. I imagine most of the attendance was the family/friends of players.
Even for the big D1 teams, some of those more meaningless bowl games I watched this year had pretty empty stadiums.
That being said most of D3 football is Midwest/NE a site being close to those would benefit fans who want to travel.

January 05, 2025, 11:17:41 PMQuote from: pradierguy on January 05, 2025, 11:15:34 PMWould've preferred a blowout. This was a winnable game for Mount Union.
Not taking a single thing away from NCC. They performed all night long and are deserving champions.
Another Stagg Bowl loss and this one falls squarely on the shoulders of the coaching staff. Not sure they'll even get back to the pinnacle with the current staff in place. Incredibly disappointing.
You said what I was about to say. A first half blowout would have been less disappointing to me than this game.
