Quote from: D3fanboy on October 20, 2025, 04:36:13 PMMy biggest concern is the defense, specifically the run defense.  After the past few seasons, I never thought that I'd be happy with the secondary. But Kosta T and Liebler are probably the best pair of CB that the Raiders have had in a few years.  But Mount is currently ranked 111th against the run.  That is not acceptable in Alliance.

Better plug those holes, I was surprised the Berg in the first half was able to run as well, usually I feel like we end the Mount game with like less than 50 yards rushing, I hear there is a little school in Illinois, called North Central that's pretty good at running the ball  ;D

Sad to see Heidelberg's Cartel Brooks's NCAA all division single game rushing record was broken. Probably the first and last record the school will ever have  :'(

Looks like Wilmington is winning the battle to not be last place in the OAC

Scored in the first half, blocked a mount punt, a win for me  ;D

Quote from: Dr. Acula on October 11, 2025, 10:38:21 PMThat stadium is an oddity.  I'm sure most OAC fans would say it's too small.  Personally with the size of OAC crowds in Tiffin I think it's great.  Much better to have smaller capacity on campus IMO.  It's a nice facility.

Nice now, when I was there it was the Tiffin High School field, then it was let's just play on our turf field that has no bleachers  ;D

I like to imagine there was a day a lot of the OAC stadiums were packed right?  Like BW maybe in the 70s or something.  Seem like even High School football these days, way less people then there used to be

Quote from: Dr. Acula on October 11, 2025, 06:07:55 PMI was afraid that wasn't going to end well for Berg after the botched PAT to keep the lead at 3 followed by the fumble inside the Etta 10 on the door step of the knockout blow TD.  After those two things happened I got that bad feeling that was setting the stage for Etta to sneak out a win at the end.  That slide on the scramble was indeed a huge mistake.

Yeah i thought it was over with that fumble, I was thinking Berg needed 6 there anyways as if they were held to 3, I could just see Marietta driving down for a game ending touchdown as time expires.  Quite the changed fortunes for the Berg in this game, as we had like 50 yards of offense in the first half, 1 of our 2 td's was a freebie, the other was a kickoff return.  And then in the second half the Etta offense just didnt seem the same.  Poorman is not a good passer though

Quote from: D3fanboy on October 11, 2025, 05:15:30 PMMarietta absolutely blows a must-win game to Heidi.  Helped in no part by the Etta QB in the open field sliding down two yards short on a 3rd and long with about a min to go

Finally something good for the Berg  ;D
The better team did not win

Quote from: MUC 2008 on October 11, 2025, 02:11:22 PMDoes OAC have replay? Have I been this ignorant this long?

Watching the Otterbein game?  Cause I was about to ask that as well, I've never seen it.

Quote from: D3fanboy on September 29, 2025, 10:07:35 AMthe Capital-Heidi game looks to be a lot more interesting than it appeared to be prior to the season.

I remember when Capital used to be a guaranteed like 50 point win   :'(

Capital tied with Marietta at 21 each, is Cbus no longer the bottom  :o

Feel like you don't usually see OAC teams have such success running it straight through Mount's defense.  6.8 yards a rush for BW  ;D

Question for the Mount historians, when is the last time ya'll lost a regular season out of conference game, the 90s?

Quote from: mc1983 on September 05, 2025, 07:29:17 AMCongrats to Heidelberg on the blowout. Was a bit surprised to see Hiram put up 400+ yards. Assuming most of that was against back-ups?

Only watched the first half, but Hiram had some success with some longer passes.  Hiram is bad but Heidelberg is also not that great either, so I am not surprised we gave up that much.  I remember looking at the box score close to half time and Hiram had like more than double the yards compared to the Berg yet the score was 30-7

Quote from: maripp2002 on September 05, 2025, 10:28:01 AMI assume that as the OP was BergAlum he was referring to Heidelberg's game as the one that required a Flo subscription.

Yeah i was watching both games side by side till halftime, then had to leave so missed most of the second halves
