UWRF winning TD. I'm assuming we can use this since it's the NCAA.

Well we are getting the final people were asking for, NCC and UWRF. Should be a good one. Can NCC slow down the UWRF offense? Blaha with 520 passing yards today, 5 TD's and a rushing TD. Back and forth game with JHU until about 45 seconds left when UWRF hit a 79 yd TD. Not sure what JHU was doing on D on that play but exciting finish.
How about football in Illinois today.
NCC back in the final.
Illinois St in FCS final.
Bears come back to beat the Packers.

I just have a hard time imagining them keeping pace with you guys. The fact things are warming up only benefits NCC. Throwing the ball was tough in that kind of cold Saturday. JCU D is legit, but Mount isn't as physical up front as NCC.
There's also a familiarity factor in "conference rivalry games" that tends to keep scores tighter. I know JCU isn't in the OAC anymore, but they're as familiar with Mount as any playoff opponent could possibly be. My money is on the NCC ground game, your D, and your D scheme.
These matchups are hard to project with so few crossover opponents. That said, I could see this being one of those semi-final blowouts. JCU's D will have to keep the scoring down like they did against Mount for a close game.
I'm hoping for a UWRF v NCC Stagg Bowl. That's got all the makings of a classic matchup, with great storylines. Best of luck on Saturday.
With regard to NCC's ground game, it should be noted that the Cardinals 2nd team RB Sean Allen who averages 5.3 ypc and has 8 TDs, and who was the starter at the beginning of the season, didn't even play. Strongly supporting Donovan McNeal's 144 yards and 3 TDS was Jordan Williams who racked up 90 yards and a TD. If NC would have been at full strength. Williams would have likely been the #3 RB. Gives you an idea as to NCC's depth of talent, having a guy like Jordan able to add such a sizable contribution.
Let's not forget the OL. I seem to recall some questions early in the season. They seem to be performing well.

Tall order for Wheaton but if they win they can reach new heights...

It will be tough for Bethel to score much more than that IMO. Lacrosse scored on the last play of the game to get to 28.
Another LaCrosse TD was setup by a 50 yd half back pass that got them down to the 1. They then scored on 4th and goal from the 3 on a play where Haas was dead to rights in Renick's arms, escaped and then made a good throw and an even better catch by the TE for the TD.
I need to watch more of Bethel before I comment on their offense compared to UWL/Wheaton, etc.
UWL had 418 total yds, more yards then NCC. UWL had 347 passing yds. UWL WR #19 had 100 yds receiving and 4 TD's.
I think the NCC picks by Roby #2 were huge, stopping a drive and a pick 6 late in first half.
Turnovers could be huge this Saturday too.
Here is the press conference you were discussing earlier. Sound is a little off early but clears up after a minute or so.

I would think UWRF QB is front runner for the Gagliardi trophy.
He not only is throwing the ball all over the place, he has over 1,000 yards rushing this season. He had 26 rushing attempts against St. John's.
If you want to vote for the Gagliardi:

NCC 35 UWL 27 Final
The guys wanted Donovan McNeal back and he was back with 149 yds rushing on 12 attempts and a TD.
Next is Bethel who beat UWP 35-24 but there will be no NCC vs. Mount Union match up as
JCU pulled off the upset and knocked out Mount Union.
