I believe looking back at the Wesleyan Defensive Line during that game they had a 2023 2nd Team All Nescac Player and 2022 2nd Team All Nescac Player both in the starting lineup. I do not know about you but that does not scream like 3rd level guys?

One thing to be said as previously alluded to about my take on Wesleyan's finish to the year: I cannot wait to see the Ephs play in Middletown. Although Wesleyan ended up playing spoiler in Williamstown on homecoming, watching the film of that game you saw complete physical domination by both the Williams Offensive and Defensive lines. Those units for the Ephs return a majority of the same players from last years game (minus 2 starters on the OL). More experience at the skill position sets the Ephs up well for a matchup with Wesleyan.

Wesleyan finishes the season 6-3. Book it.

Seems like a bit of a cop out response from Nescacman...

Williams OL play has looked a little sluggish since the departure of Harry Walsh at right tackle. Big test this week against a Bantams team in Hartford.

Trinity, in my opinion, was a much better team than Middlebury and it was not even close. Middlebury's DL was top notch, but other than that I believe Trinity clears them at almost every other position in 2023. Was utterly shocked when Midd came out on top in Hartford.

WEEK 1 Selections:

Amherst over Bates (14-7)

Trinity over Colby (42-7)

Williams over Hamilton (28-17)

Bowdoin over Tufts (21-14)

Middlebury over Wesleyan (28-10)

Fischetti top 5 in rushing yards after only playing 3 games and about a quarter... would have ran for about 500 yards at least against Wesleyan and Amherst if healthy... that Reece kid is good but would certainly be the backup under a healthy Fischetti

Very thorough all conference team selections. However, I do tend to agree with several other board members about some sketchy OLine picks. Seems as though the 11 players who were on both first and second team should have been filled by more Trinity, Tufts, and Williams selections. Upon watching all Ephs games from this past season, it seems blatantly obvious that players such as Jaheim Scott, Gus Bickert, and Michael Tartaglia should have rounded out the all-conference roster. Some questionable selections coming out of Wesleyan (for certain) and Amherst.

Such a shame the NESCAC was unable to post the all-conference teams. Does anyone know when they should be posted?

New to the board. After viewing some of the previous comments surrounding season power rankings, I find it somewhat laughable to find Wesleyan within the top 4. Not only did they suffer two blowout losses to both Trinity and Tufts, they could barely survive an injury plagued Ephs roster who quite frankly should have won that game by a considerable amount. Football is decided on the line of scrimmage, and seeing that Wesleyan produced lack luster performances on both sides of the line this season it is somewhat remarkable they were able to secure 6 wins. IMHO not good enough to be ranked within the top 4. Pleasure to be apart of the beloved boards as a long time viewer.
