Hats off to Coach Raby and the job he's done in his first yr at Fisher. Great to see them being competitive again! Punched the Dragons in the nose in those opening two drives. Cortland defense buckled down in the second half and the offense found some rhythm. Cortland defense has bent at times this season but they do a nice job adjusting things to clamp down on opponents. Looking forward to watching the Red Dragons down at Alfred State tommorow!

One game does not make or break a season. Especially a non conference game. The Red Dragons will be going through some growing pains with new starters to go along with their new coaches and new schemes. The conference looks to be more competitive this season and as a fan thats exciting to see! Big eye opener from Utica with another QB transfer with a UALbany connection! Alfred knocking off Hobart! Fisher AND Hartwick with wins to start the year off! Brockport looking to take the next step and get back to the top. Should be a great year to watch!

A lot of transition in the Empire 8 going into the 2025 season. Is the gap closing in on the Red Dragons? Are the Golden Eagles on pace to sit atop the perch? Which other schools will be in the hunt and who will be the biggest dark horse next season? All the changes will lead to some excitement and new expectations for those members. Can't wait!

Will be interesting to see how the Red Dragon offense evolves this year minus Burgess and Laap. Coach Fitzpatrick has an innovative offensive mind. I think back to what he was able to accomplish at Mooville! As with any program that loses key personnel, adjustments must be made and opportunities arise for others to fill the voids that are left. Everyone talks about the Cortland offense, and rightfully so based on previous years, but don't overlook the defensive side of the ball. The front seven in particular return with a bunch of experience and will be relied on more to create stops and get those coveted turnovers. Should be an interesting year and we'll see if the gap has been closed in the Empire Eight!
