Quote from: College Soccer Observer on November 06, 2025, 09:40:24 AMTo be fair, he did not really do much.  This was a complete overreaction by the officials.  They thought they saw him strike an opponent with the ball after the game, and that did not happen.  Unfortunately, there is no recourse once the red is given.

I didn't see it, so have to take your word, but heard from a player who was standing right there that he "took a player to the ground".  I agree that it's too bad if the ref saw something that wasn't there and nothing you can do about it once the red comes out.

Really, really dumb move by the NC player to get a red card after the game ended in the quarters. While they might not have won last night with him, it surely didn't help to lose their top scorer.

Compared the preseason coaches poll with final results: Coaches did a good job of getting the bottom 4 correct.  Missed badly on North Park and Illinois Wesleyan.

Not sure of the rules, but the offensive player of the year received a red card a good 10 minutes after the game ended last Saturday.  Never seen that before.  Does he sit the next game or is he done for the tourney?
