This is incredible insight and history, I wasn't aware that the league has changed so much over the last 10 years or so.
The SUNY teams do seem to be strong squads and over the last few years have given the legacy Empire 8 teams a lot to handle.
Did some analysis and looks like remaining SoS for the top teams so far is toughest on SJF and Brockport. Naz and Alfred seem to have an easier path to the top of the table. Used only Conference Win% since the non-league opponents where wildly skewing the data with teams like Word of Life playing Sage and losing 0-10! With only conference games left for most of the schedules across all the teams, every game will be hugely important! Will be interesting to see how this plays out!
Rank Team Games left Avg opp conf win %
1 Houghton 5 .620
2 St. John Fisher 6 .617
3 SUNY Brockport 6 .572
4 Utica 6 .567
5 Elmira 6 .517
6 Russell Sage 6 .500
7 Hartwick 5 .493
8 Keuka 5 .480
9 SUNY Geneseo 6 .461
10 SUNY Poly 6 .450
10 Nazareth 6 .450
12 Alfred 5 .367
