They had 60 new players on the team this year.  This isn't the NFL, you don't have OTA's and preseason games.  They had 3 weeks before they played Linfield at home.  It takes time for teams to come together.  He should definitely get another year and be judged by what this team does after Spring camp and a full year together.

This season he was most definitely afraid.  To see so many UWW fans deny that is hilarious.  You have at least 3 full time football coaches.  That they couldn't find anyone besides Keystone for week 3 or 4, shows that they were hiding.  They could have flown to Linfield or Hardin Simmons.

You seem to think that every school has an unlimited budget and can just force other schools to play them.

It has nothing to do about budgeting.  You have enough money to fly to Eastern Pennsylvania, you have enough to fly to Texas.  Whitewater chose East Pennsylvania because it was a sure win.  Your second point, if a D3 teams wants to visit Hardin Simmons and play football, they WILL accept and play.  Just too afraid to admit that this team ran from competition.

Just seen the box score for the UW River Falls vs UW Eau Claire game.  Eau Claire had 13 penalties for 110 yards.  They have been a rather clean team this season.  River Falls had 5 for 37 yards. 

So I'll just throw this out.  I have no knowledge of the situation.  But for the MIAC it makes much more sense to have a tie in game with the WIAC.  Could be in the Twin Cities, Eau Claire or even the Wisconsin Dells.  My guess is they're waiting on maybe a Culver's Bowl 2.  Even the 2nd best non playoff team from the WIAC this year could be La Crosse, Stout, River Falls or Eau Claire.

Week 4 WIAC Predictions

UW Platteville at UW Oshkosh

I don't recall any Platteville injuries last week against River Falls.  They should be very healthy.  Oshkosh season continues to struggle.  Penalties, drops and poor decisions continue to plague the team.  Oshkosh will score this week, but Platteville should put 40+ on them.

Eau Claire at River Falls

River Falls looked and played awful last week.  Maybe Trevor Asher comes back this week.  The O-line was just so bad last Saturday.  How does Eau Claire handle success?  Should be low scoring and turnovers should decide the outcome.  Look for some home magic for River Falls to win a nail biter.

Both teams played Whitewater close.  Stout committed 5 turnovers while I think Hass only had 1.  Stout just gives the ball away too much.  La Crosse has some confidence and a veteran team.  Another close game this time to the visitors.

You put Uselding on Stout, they are a the Top 3 D3 team.  Turnovers just Kill that team.  To lose by a score to both Whitewater and Platteville, just heartbreaking.

Eau Claire plays so much zone defense, that these good teams just pick them apart.  Oshkosh has been poor against the pass this year, I just don't think  Ayden can expose the defense.
If Eau Claire has trouble moving the ball in the air, they might have to look for a quarterback in the portal to push Ayden.  Coach Ockinga must have some quarterbacks he recruited while at Peru State that might be interested in going to Eau Claire.

I have a hard time believing Ashiru is not just as good, or better than, any other qb in the league. Yes, he passed for 400 or so yards vs RF but he's that good.

All that said, Pville will be very hard to beat Saturday.

The problem is Fitzgerald hasn't looked good.  Against Whitewater he had 3 interceptions, and it could have been more.  The O-line hasn't been solid, and the running game has struggled since the Wartburg game. Credit to the special teams, but I don't think you can count on 4 blocked kicks this weekend.  Uselding has completed over 75 percent of his passes this season.  Asher is still nursing his injury against Whitewater and Platteville run defense is one of the strengths of the defense.
