Last post by Bartman - Yesterday at 09:15:58 AMLast night, I noticed that Mekhi Rodgers, DB, played for JMU in the CFP game . He was a starting CB for Hobart thru Sophomore year , then transferred to Saint Francis before being recruited to JMU to play this year. Congrats to Mekhi for pursuing his dream to play for a top D1 program.

How on earth did the Packers lose? Reminds me of the Pointer loss to NPU. Big lead, throws it away. Chance to ice it (4 times for the Pointers) and can't do that.

Last post by FCGrizzliesGrad - Yesterday at 01:41:36 AMIs red becoming the new purple?
- Just the 2nd time in the last 29 playoffs there will be no purple in the Stagg Bowl (2023 also all red)
- No purple teams made the semifinals for the 2nd time in the last 33 playoffs (also 2023)
- In the last three playoffs there have been 6 red teams in the semifinals and two each year while there has been just 1 purple (Mount Union 2024)

Last post by emma17 - Yesterday at 12:04:11 AMThat 2 weeks and 1 day should help the Falcons heel up.
I'm sure NCC has key players that will benefit from some rest as well.
After watching a full game of NCC, it's clear they are good at everything. UWRF will have to be sure tacklers, JCU gave up a ton of yards after missing tackles.

If so, it seems to logically follow that chances are good that the NC ground game might well be limited to its lowest total of the season. Should that occur, does that pretty much insure JC wins? Let's not forget that NC can pass a little too, and that they are led by the nation's most efficient passer.
First, I didn't see anyone say JCU was the best DL NCC will have faced. That may have well been last week v Bethel, we shall see. I pointed out that JCU's defensive front held some pretty high quality playoff caliber teams to under 100 yds rushing in those games so it translates for me that will be the determining factor. And, while NCC can certainly pass, Wilson is an efficient passer primarily because the NCC run game is crushing everyone and when you commit extra people to stop the run, pass opportunities abound. If I am a defensive coordinator going against NCC I would absolutely love if NCC became a passing team. Not because they can't do it, but because they want to run the ball (and you have to pick you poison), that's their identity.
NCC ran for 204 yards which is under their 267 game average. However they passed for 324 yards, 101 over their per game average of 223. Perhaps, at least for this game, they did give the D coordinator what he thought he wanted by becoming primarily a passing team.
Who would have thought the Cards would total more yards through the air than did JC?
NCC ran 53 total plays, 30 runs and 23 passes.

So many missed tackles.

Last post by CarollFan - December 20, 2025, 11:42:45 PMWell we are getting the final people were asking for, NCC and UWRF. Should be a good one. Can NCC slow down the UWRF offense? Blaha with 520 passing yards today, 5 TD's and a rushing TD. Back and forth game with JHU until about 45 seconds left when UWRF hit a 79 yd TD. Not sure what JHU was doing on D on that play but exciting finish.
How about football in Illinois today.
NCC back in the final.
Illinois St in FCS final.
Bears come back to beat the Packers.
