La Crosse beats Stout 87-83. They had a double digit lead so I went to the Oshkosh game. Not sure if they had a furious comeback fall short or what.

Platteville holds off Oshkosh 79-72.

Titans in real trouble for an At-large bid.

Platteville wins over Oshkosh 79-72. Back and forth game.  I think the biggest lead was 10 points. Max Lucey came off the bench to lead Platteville with 16 points. In addition to Lucey Platteville got contributions from Kaden MacKenzie and Sawyer Schipper when Max Love, Aiden Wieczorik and Joey Fuhremann got in foul trouble. Platteville goes to WW Thursday. Platteville and WW split in conference play each winning at home. Great atmosphere for a WIAC game. Platteville's library must have been empty judging by the number of students at the game.

Oshkosh has dropped to At-large 22, one out of the NCAA tournament.

Everyone around them won yesterday. Elmhurst, Virginia Wesleyan and Roanoke all won.

With everyone still needing a loss to join the At-large conversation, the Titans still have a chance to grab a bid at the 11th hour.

Platteville is safe at At-large 11 and I think whomever wins the conference tournament could host opening weekend.

Stout beat La Crosse 46 to 32 on the boards.

Greek Tragedy

It's getting interesting at the bottom of the At-large pool.

17. Virginia Wesleyan
18. Carthage
19. Roanoke
20. Elmhurst
21. TCNJ

22. Oshkosh
23. JCU
24. Drew

17 and 19 play each other in the ODAC semis

18 and 20 play each other in the CCIW semis

21 TCNJ plays Montclair St in NJAC Final

23 JCU plays DePauw in NCAC semis

24 Drew plays Susquehanna in LAND semis

TCNJ may have the best loss vs highly NPI ranked Montclair St.

JCU probably needs an AQ to get in. Drew does too, but that would be a bid thief with Catholic moving to At-large.

Stout fought hard. They played loose all year. Gritty play. Lax was just good. Not a lot of depth, but best player in the nation and supporting cast. Platteville won hard fought game. Bonus in Platteville. Oshkosh abandoned the Gimmick. Why? In the playoff game? I'm sure there will be question for next year. Have our best players on the floor for 30 min or 22 min. You could tell at the end of game they could not press and pressure the ball as they normally have. Good games ahead.

Greek Tragedy

They didn't play it against Point either.

I think losing Beck had a lot to do with less 5 in, 5 out the last few games for Oshkosh.

Greek Tragedy

Seems like a weak argument. The last time Beck played was a one point loss to Platteville. Played the system for 3 wins after that and then the loss to La Crosse and then all of a sudden abandon it against Point and Platteville again? Does it only work against certain teams?

Maybe you do change your team's entire identity based on one player's absence. Point did.
