Aurora 11 Benedictine 6 (Benedictine Eliminated)

Honestly, Benedictine's stumble out of the gate in conference play doomed them in the end.

Today's matchups

Aurora vs Edgewood (Elimination Game)

Winner gets MSOE with the possibility of the Raiders clinching the auto-bid with a win today. If Aurora wins, then tomorrow's game will be needed.

Honestly I could see MSOE going to either to either WIAC team that hosts a regional. I know the predicted bracket has them being shipped to Ohio but gonna be hard to see that happening in my eyes. Will have a conference review of the season at some point.

Agreed....  I had MSOE, Beloit and Bethany Lutheran split into three different Regionals with their NPI numbers being so close when compared to each other.

MSOE sidelines Rhodes and gets revenge on Webster but falls to Belhaven to end their season at 29-18.

Hello NACC baseball fans.

Just yelling into the void about the Mahler bros from Vernon Hill, IL.  They are in their final year at CUC and are putting on a show. A lot can happen in the last 18 games of the season, but things are off to a great start, expecially for Brandon.

Brandon Mahler (Sr.) C
.482/.587/.916
17 XBH (9 hr)
14w to 2ks

Jake Mahler (Sr.) 3B
.400/.467/.642
13 XBH (5 hr)

GU1999

Brandon Mahler added two more HRs yesterday against BenU.  He went 2-3 with his lone out being a fly ball to the warning track.  In his 4th plate appearance he was intentionally walked.

CUC hangs on to win 3-1 and moves to 7-3 in the NACC.  Big double header with Aurora on Wednesday.

Roll Cougs!

*CUC School record

Brandon is nearing or has surpassed NACC single season records in the following categories:
HR - 17 Seris in 48 games and Bushnell in 42 (BM currently at 16 thru 39 games)
SLUG record .847 (BM currerntly at .900)
RBI - 70 for Sartori in 47 games (BM currently at 64 thru 39 games)
Total Bases - 145 Rotzell in 45 games (BM currently at 135 thru 39 games)

Many of the NACC counting records are held by guys that played on teams that made deep post season runs.  For example the CUC names on the list like Silva and Mercado, both played on teams that made the D3 world series and in one year played 55 games.  CUC has played 39 headed into the conference tournament.
